First I would like to start off that this is a decent remake, it adds some gameplay mechanics that the game really needed and added a few cutscenes. However the problem this game has is that it hasn't added nearly enough.

Since P3 was the original start of the social rank system it was in no way fleshed out like they have done in P5. With there being 10 social ranks for 22 characters you quickly start to notice they have not a lot to offer. Most link levels tell a "story" that honestly just falls short, maybe if you pasted 3 of them together it would finally be at a comfortable level (example the Grandpa with dementia where 5 of his 10 social links are about him forgetting something.) Since the reward it gives you is extremely minor and has no real impact on the story in any way. It starts to become a chore to the point that I've heard of people who rather just ditch the whole system and sleep through the days instead.

The overall main story is quite nice, however again it's not enough. There are so many days where just F all happens where the game would've benefitted a lot from some extra story cutscenes inbetween to make you interact with the characters some more.

Finally the dungeon itself is extremely boring, there is nothing interesting to explore there with the only difference being a different color overtaking the dungeon every 10 or so floors. I truly wish they did more with it and reworked the whole thing.

The fact that this game has a review score of "Overwhelmingly Positive" scares me since this just shows the developers that they can release a half baked remake and still get full support because it's Persona. Since I enjoyed the original P3 I can somewhat recommend it but at the same time it's a major dissapointment for what it actually could have been.

This game by now is 7 years old and is STILL riddled with a pletora of bugs.

I decided to play this game after a friend of mine absolutely glazed it to oblivion. Having played it myself for 12 hours, I can confidently say that the game is extremely dull, is most of the time a walking simulator with nothing happening and has some bugs that straight up ruin any goodwill you might have build up.

While the combat seems fun at first glance, you quickly realize how frustrating it is to actually duel someone. After the "tutorial" is over, it transforms into a qte simulator while also having an rng aspect of if your opponent magically blocks your attacks regardless. Meanwhile if you get hit once, you get combo'd for half your health which in this game at least at the start is extremely hard to get back.

I cannot recommend this game, if you are lured here by the good reviews, I suggest you look at the discussion section first to see what this game is truly like for a lot of people.

Absolutely adore this game so far. So much enemy versatility each with their own pattern to work out. Lots of secrets with great loot and an amazingly satisfying upgrade system. The difficulty is also set just right that you'd probably die to multiple bosses till you figure out their patterns making for a satisfying challenge.

What I do dislike though is that it autodetects which control you use. All the new gen controllers are supported, if you have a ps4 controller however you are out of luck and it defaults to the xbox one. You can't change this in the settings. This in turn causes you to go through a bunch of convoluted steps to force the game to show ps5 controls.

Besides that, please let us mash through the opening warnings and logo's. They are so extremely slow.

And for my last nitpicks I would love to see an option to auto through the dialogue and for field/normal dialogue to have a log. I keep accidently skipping through text or accidently engage and enemy and then that dialogue is just lost to me forever which is such a shame.

The more I read the negative recommendation the more I find myself agreeing to them. While the main places of focus feel really well designed, the things you do in them is pretty minimal. You'd find yourself finding nostalgic places and telling yourself it was worth it, but if not for the fact that it's Harry Potter instead of a random new game, it would've flopped.

The devs also sold the combat as if you are specializing into a certain class, becoming a main in fighting with plants, potions, spells or even beasts. This is not the case as not only do you find yourself speccing into a generalist, the plants and potions barely have any play thanks to them being consumables. As for beasts? They are just pets for you to collect and harvest resources from. As for the mount beasts, they are slower than your broom so why bother with them.

All in all, disappointed in the mechanics, loved the world (the left side of it, the right side might as well not have existed) a lot. Should've had more content besides sidequests with interaction in hogwarts and hogsmeade. (Earning house points, doing tests, interacting/becoming friends with other classmates, buying some shady stuff, pulling pranks etc.)

If you love Harry Potter then you will love this game as well regardless of it's flaws.

For some reason contains a gamebreaking bug that softlocks you out of the game. Right after seeing scarecrows shadow, you are supposed to blow up a wall. Sadly due to this bug, you have no charges to use on said wall. You can't exit out of the area or detonate these supposedly used charges. Meaning you are stuck and would have to play the first hour and a half of the game again. I dearly hope you people don't encounter this bug (and even more so for the poor sod in the discussions that played the start of the game again, just for him to encounter the bug a second time).

Honestly one of the best gaming experiences I've had in a long while, awesome combat, awesome puzzles, awesome jumping puzzles, challenges, movement, characters and the most precious main character ever. Highly recommend this, definitely worth 20$

This game has all the aspects of a good game except for it's map design. Enemies are put in annoying spots that instead of making you feel good for defeating a hard challenge just leave you frustrated. What I expected from this game is something like katana zero where I can do an amazing sequence of attacks after many retries and instead Im left hiding in corners and running around like a madman with no satisfaction.

Some might feel different from me, but for me this game is a NO.

Though not a bad game, the gameplay loop quickly starts to become more boring as you go on. Especially since your realize that 90% of the missions is to just throw your scout at the enemy base as quickly as possible to get that A rank.

The story is just ludicrous. Two factions on europe are fighting each other, the "good" side is at the point of almost being defeated, till someone at command came up with the gigabrain idea of "just take their capital 4head". Thus began the counterattack where the whole army went in a straight line towards the enemy capital on the other side of the continent. Who comes up with this stuff?! The supply line is non existent, you are constantly surrounded and even if you were to capture the capital, so what? you are now completely cut off from everything and in a position to easily lose the capital again.

Not to mention some of the anime bs that happens later on that totally made me quit the game. I cannot recommend the full game, even when the first half was still enjoyable enough.
