its pretty much the old games on newgrounds, except with a new mission. It is fun, but the new mission is fairly linear. worth it for the nostalgia though

Early Access Review
Really fun, really addicting, and has a steep learning curve. If you are new, just stick with us, it will make sense eventually

Well, if it isn't Outlast, one of, if not the favourite horror game of mine. The first playthrough is just good ol' scary fun, and if you stop to read the letters/documents, and even the next few runs can be scarry for a while. The game is so packed with small things, that even on my 10th run through for insane mode I still notice things. Did you know that the keyboard you use to deactivate security only has qwertyu asdfgh zxcvb? I didn't until 4 full runs in. Did you know that the entire map "can" be accessed from anywhere else on the map? (I say "can" because there are barriers in doors and doors that lock behind you). Heck, there is only one chapter break that teleports the player!
INSANE MODE
A big aspect of the game when running it on harder modes, like insane, is the strategy. While alot of characters can be outrun, most are avoided just be smart maneuvering. Even when a character teleports somewhere as an obsticle, it can be easily manipulated with little to no RNG to mess you up. There are only 4* 'coin tosses' of RNG on insane mode, so there is a 1/3 chance of losing, but even when you 'lose' a cointoss, you can usually recover.
*2 true coin tosses, which are walker in the prison after the pile of bodies, and the guy in the sewer when you restart the power . The other two are just if you use a certain strategy in the return to the admin block .
I would say 20$ is fair, but if you are stingy, now is the perfect time to get Outlast and its DLC, Whistleblower. Whistleblower expands and explains some of the lore, and features a new cast of characters. It takes place during the base game, and the effects of Miles can be seen in the run, like the fire in the church being seen through some of the windows in the church scene . Whistleblower is a really fun (but shorter) expansion. The insane run for Whistleblower isn't very hard, all that changes is the enemies detecting you a bit easier and, obviously, you are one-hit, but it is much easier than the first game due to how short of a run it is. I mean 40-50 minute run vs a 2-3 hour run (if you played carefully like I). good game.

but i havent played this game in like 2 years so what do i know

The third star coin in Fingerdash (level 21) is cancer. Other than that, good game.
