Absolutely Game of the Year for me, there is no question whatsoever. This is a superhero story done right. I couldn't put it down!

Very fun incremental with great balance! Usually I'm an achievement hunter, but I think some of the achievements in this game are too difficult to be worth it. However, that does not detract from fun core gameplay!

Really fun game! It was a pretty good balance between active play and idle play. I wasn't a huge fan of some of the timewalls, but I know that comes with the territory. Felt satisfying to make it to the end. Would definitely recommend; it's free!

Honestly, I think this is the best-balanced incremental progress game that I've ever played. Yes, it's short, but it doesn't overstay its welcome. Highly recommend for $3!

Maybe my favorite single player experience on Steam, highly recommend

I have to say, this may be some of the best money I have spent on a short, story-driven game. The sound design is phenomenal. This game deserves a lot of praise, and I encourage everyone to pick up a copy. I got the game to 100% completion in just over 3 hours but I loved it so much that I could actually see myself going back to play it every year or so. Hope to see more games like this!

Amazing game, can't believe I put off playing it for so long. Cool story, great replayability, endless fun.

Just wanted to add to the many positive reviews for this game by saying that it is probably one of the most promising early access games on Steam. Dinkum is an unbelievably cool experience; I played for 5-6 hours on my own before spending 20 hours or so with 3 friends as we decked out our island, and we still don't have all of the villagers moved in. There is a lot of content already, which will only be enhanced as James Bendon adds more features. If the game ever introduces workshop modding, it will live on forever.

The one thing that I would change would be the way that the game determines which villagers come to the tent every other day. We're at the end of day 90 of our playthrough and only JUST NOW did Franklyn move in; I'm not kidding when I say that the hairdresser lady was there every 4 days for a majority of our playthrough, and she does not have a permanent home yet so she would waste so much of our time. Not having Franklyn really plateau'd our gameplay, and it would be nice if it were paced a little better.

This is one of those games that I think a majority of people probably enjoy but for me I can't get into it. I've tried 2 saves and both times start out fun but around tier 6 the game becomes tedious and slow. I have ended both of my playthroughs after dying and losing my items through the map, which really was the final straw for me.

My hopes for the final release of this game would be a better system for natural progression and a lot fewer bugs. I might give it another shot one day, but not until the official release.
