The game was advertised as a PvP MMO.

What they delivered was a solid singe player/cooperative survival crafting base building experience. There's like 50-70+ hours of good content before you get to the PvP MMO endgame point and if the PvE is all you care about, the game is still worth purchasing and playing just for the PvE content. You more than get what you pay for.

Then for the final tier the game turns into a scarce, grindy, boring, frustrating extraction shooter with sparse content. This isn't really an endgame loop and it's not really worth doing the final tier unless you really wanted to play with the carrier/crawler combo. Even if you want to stick it out for that, I don't recommend it at all. Your gear and skillpoints and playstyle are completely done away with because the meta right now is flying around in a thopter shooting people with rockets and the render distance for thopters is extremely low, so good luck spotting them.

So yeah. I recommend it, just stop play at duralumin tier. Give up on plastanium, unless you want to be really, really bored or frustrated farming it for weeks in tiny amounts while dodging gankers just to outfit yourself.

Honestly, the game is pretty bland all things considering. Bland mechanics. Bland story. There's nothing here that I haven't really seen elsewhere done better.

I can't even run the game, despite being above recommended specs. It won't even boot unless its in Win 8 compatibility mode, and when I boot it in that mode the ground textures flicker and flash.

If I disable Win 8 compatibility it just crashes on startup. I've run the full gamut of troubleshooting, updating, file checking, and reinstalling and I'm done.

I'm going to refund this, there is apparently no known fix for this. Awful.
