Much better than it was a year ago... if you don't have high expectations you may enjoy it

Game starts out as fun, looter shooter with roguelite elements. Shooting mechanic is okay, runner abilities are not really OP but still more-or-less useful.

TL;DR - Try it for free, don't take it too seriously. See if it is worth spending on after you unlock Elite Runs

While I do recommend trying the game as it is free to play, I certainly DO NOT recommend taking it seriously or paying for anything, because the endgame is just a mess...
This game, in its current state, is nothing more than a distraction, maybe until the thing you are looking forward to gets here.

After you play for approximately 20-25 hours, you unlock a thing called Master Ops+ ...then the gameplay "flow" becomes tedious:
You are essentially forced to grind, the most unbearable method being "Elite Run" without the option to solo, to get a token that allows you one attempt at an MO Plus run.
MO+ is bearable with a DECENT team as it pits you against multiple Goliaths (big bosses) at the same time. (Soloing 2 of those bullet sponges at the same time is nowhere near fun, and almost impossible at the power level you get there first.)
The "endgame" in this game is just not rewarding if you don't have a good premade with two buddies.
It's not fun for me who likes to tackle all challenges solo.
The amount of the generic in-game currency you get (Nerva) - which you use for almost everything - is also ridiculously low. You get a few thousand for a run and there are multiple upgrade methods through you will need to spend it, which cost tens of thousands each by the end. And let's not talk about the other upgrade materials...
Oh and there's gacha. But if you're unlucky, your damage done will be clearly lower than that of a whale/dolphin. (You can always rely on Deadly Tortoise LMG which is decent, or a few other builds with "okay-ish" dmg output in specific scenarios.)

One of the most fun BR games since its launch. Brought some genre-defining features too, which is greatly appreciated. Gunplay and movement feels good, Legends are more-or-less unique, and have distinctive personalities, which opens up the opportunity for some funny dialogues and quips in-game.
I'd love to have a solo queue and maybe a four-man queue tho, as there are only two options: duo or trio

I have played this title on PS4 for ages, and buying it for PC was a no-brainer.
I love the concept, the style and the gameplay mechanics.
Horizon Zero Dawn offers a really unique gameplay. It has a decent storyline, with interesting things to do all around the map, wether you like to challenge yourself in battle, hunt for collectibles, or do some sidequests and sight-seeing.
If someone's looking for casual gameplay or a real challenge, you can get either here. With the difficulty cranked up all the way, it can be real pain to complete some objectives, and there are some exclusive trophies to go along with that of course.
Fortunately, i have not experienced any technical problems since it's launch, so i can't touch up on that subject.
I most definitely recommend, but if you're on the verge, just watch some review videos to help you decide if it is for you!
