We are all patriots for Super Earth

Question everything you know while playing the game, and doing it in VR is a wild ride. However, the most critical thing I can say about it is it needs performance fixes. It's a beautiful game, but nothing seems too graphically demanding considering I have to play on medium with a 1080ti and 6700k.

I'm sure not a lot of people will see this, but I'll share my anecdotal experience with the buggyness of the graphics.

First off-
CPU: FX 6300 @ 4.5GHz
GPU: GTX 970
RAM: 8 gigs

I have my settings at 1080p, max detail Textures, water, shadows. tesselation and I sit comfortably at 60fps with occasional dips.

HOWEVER for some reason on the first mission with these exact settings (and everything lower) it was maybe 20fps. I don't know what was wrong with it, but once I finished that first mission it was smooth sailing. It also isn't just cut scenes or explosive moments in the story, because in a following mission with even more taxing events I was constant 60fps.

I will say however that I have turned off some of the graphics settings that I determined to be taxing on the system for not much gain in graphical eye candy including Global Illumination, Bokeh Depth of Field, Motion blur, etc. Turning them off gave me a comfortable 10+ frames and I didn't notice a significant difference (if any) at 1080p quality.

A lot of these complaints about optimization are exactly what was happening to me on the first mission, so i'm not sure if it's something that they saw and freaked out and quit playing or if they are legit problems that haven't been fixed. I don't even have the JC3 game ready drivers yet either.
