There was no up, there was no down, there was no side to side,
no circle, square or triangle, no A, B, X or Y.
There were no cars for avatars to steal or paint or drive,
no main campaign to beat the game, nor quest upon the side.
Then a cosmic chain reaction changed the map we are playing on
with the checkpoint all inside it moving further from the spawn.
Maybe there is fasttravel but we havent found that yet
weve just unlocked this one small rock and one thats overhead.
So in our lonely open world we journey, craft and mine,
answer calls of duty, raiding tombs and charting time
And one day when the last of us completes their final game
i hope they look up at the stars and know just why we played
