Snowboard Simulator meets 3D platformer with occasional lightsabering.

I'm 4 planets in, the set design is really weak, the game loop gets old really fast, and all the loot/chests to find are simply to collect skins and add zero game value, only "interesting" to trophy hunters.

So unless you love the licence and really want an easy platformer with some SW OST, or something that will please your teen and not scare the younger sibling when he plays, I'd pass.

I'm still aiming to finish it for now, really hoping I get a story surprise... but the force is weak with this one.

"Sable" means "Sand" in french.
You are Playing Sable in a sand desert.
This game is not french.
Neither is the sand in the game.

I wonderful and peaceful journey.
A game that allows you to slow down, breath, take a step and reflect back on your life.
All this is a charming visual world, including poetry, music and humour.

A refreshing game, that I'm sure I'll play again in a few years to re-discover it all once again.
Maybe in my next Season (you'll understand after playing it) :)

I really wanted to love it but cannot enjoy the gameplay mechanics compared to DAO or DA2.. it seem half finished or watered down to the point where it's not really interesting anymore. I guess this is the price of console porting.
What happened to the multi-rule settings to create proper team synergy mechanics depending on battle scenarios??? The companion AI here is more often frustrating than not. Range companions are often running into the thick of it and AI cannot melee either... Instead of setting them up, you have to baby-sit them, overt and over again.

Is it enjoyable? The story in good & characters interesting, the graphics are also holding on rather well despite the years. But damn it's frustrating to play...

Will I replay it several times like the first one? No.
will I see to complete the game so I can follow the story arc before the next one comes out? yes.

EDIT : I didn't finish it. Mages constantly running under Dragon feet to be stomped do not deserve to finish their story.

A very nice little game.
The storyline is simple yet charming, the characters, overall design & music are all quite lovely. However, the gameplay is a little weak when it comes to things to do or how they flow together, some of the Audio or cinematics could have been punchier to sell some key moments better, and more "cat actions/stuff" could have been implemented.

All that said, It is still still an excellent Indy game. The current over-hype might sabotage our capacity to enjoy the game a little but it is still a little gem of it's own kind, and I'd recommend it for anyone fond of cats and/or willing to spend time on a game in a rather relaxing vein.

Did I thoroughly enjoy my ~10h on it? Very much so.
Will I go through a second playthrough? Probably not.

In absolute awe with the atmosphere and overall feel of the game. It is refreshing to not be a "chosen one" or "perfect Hero" placing you as the centre of attention as in most games.
The character is tortured and hurt to the deepest levels and you get to bet here with her, sharing her psychosis, torment and fate. It is quite the experience!
the Viking/Nordic folklore and Pict culture depiction are quite great, especially considering it isn't a AAA game.
I also love the fact you actually have an incentive to explore the maps to find all the Lorestores as they do enrich the story quite a fair bit.

The controls are simple and game/fight mechanics are easy to get used to. Overall I had a great time and will most likely do another playthrough in the near future.

I really enjoy the Bayou.

The area is stunning and so very relaxing, I love feeling the sunrise caressing my face during my morning jog, I can hear the birds in the background and the fishes playing in the water, the ducks taking a bath or the soothing noise of the tree branches in the wind.

The nightlife is also amazing, sometimes you can hear people having a party in a village nearby, and If you're lucky, the celebrating even comes to you, and they always invite you to join in! Some people even bring fireworks, they do love their parties.

After hanging around for a bit, you get to know most of the villagers by name, we often hug each other, dogs love coming to you to get belly rubs and butt scratches.

Sometimes, I go hang out with Bitsy the spider or play tag with Billy the piggy, he is often the light of the party and loves baseball.
"Lil George" is very shy and doesn't like to play outside very often but he is really good at playing hide and seek when he comes to it!
Every time you'll come visit, Jack will run to greet you, always bursting with energy!
There is also Sally, who loves singing. Always letting the hair flow in the wind and wearing a lovely dress, I think she is very cute. She once told me she has butterflies in her tummy every time we see each other. I think she likes me.
Let's not forget "big Biff", He is a little blind and sadly his walking stick isn't long enough, so when you see him, please feel free to help him out.

I sometimes come across other visitors too, most of them are lovely and often come for faraway lands.
We also play hide and seek together for a while until they get bored and start playing dead instead.
Most of the time I start playing dead first because i'm not really good at hide and seek... Maybe I should ask "Lil' George" how he got so good at it.

I really enjoy the Bayou.
