It's way better than AS2. It has way more variety in vehicles, infantry, missions/objectives, etc. More content, more things to do. Has more difficulty options and is way more enjoyable to play at higher difficulties, and doesn't force me into having to annoyingly micro manage units and slow down game speed at the higher difficulties. Runs way better than AS2. Everything is better.

Unfortunately, Game Updates are not as frequent as one would hope for in an Early Access game. VOID Interactive seem to be working at a snail's pace, failing to meet deadlines, and have yet to address the apparent issue of lack of communication between the development team, VOID Interactive, and Ready or Not's community.
