This game is one of my all time favorites already, and here is why. Elden Ring provided me with the exact open world experience I have been craving for years; the environmental design, the npc and enemy designs, the score/music, the insanely large variety of options the player is provided with, the challenging yet fluid combat that truly rewards skill, and the freedom to either fight god at level 1 or explore so much you're fighting the first story bosses at level 80+. So far I have not even beaten the game yet. Most of my time has been taken up by simply exploring this vast world that is The Lands Between. I am also that one guy who makes 3-4 characters before beating a game so that may have something to do with it... Nonetheless, I could not recommend this game more to both experienced Souls players and newcomers. Being a newcomer to the Souls series myself I already have my sights set on previous installments. I will say, that I am aware this kind of game is not for everyone, but if you think it seems interesting there is no harm in just giving it a shot; I wasn't 100% when I first bought it myself and now here I am with a new favorite game.
