If you like Danganronpa or the Phoenix Wright series, just don't bother hesitating and get the game.

I wouldn't bother with buying this yet. The game's fun enough, but it's shallow compared to what a lot of people are making the game out to be.
Positives:
+Story's relatively immersive, there's a lot of lore left around in certain places if you like reading that stuff.
+Night City's pretty beautiful.
+Even without ray-tracing, the graphics are nice.
+Enough customization options to make a character you actually want to play, gameplay wise.
Negatives:
-Slow beginning. It takes about 6 hours for the actual plot of the game to begin, the first 6 hours is just ass-kissing different NPCs.
-Although I haven't ran into too many performance issues, walking outside drops my fps to about 40, from 100.
-Character appearance barely matters because you don't see your character very often.
-There's only two voice actors from V; for masculine and feminine voices.I find V's male voice to be irritating.
-The game's tropes are constantly shoved in your face. Seriously. It's annoying hearing 10 different NPCs reference "dying in a blaze of glory".
-Combat is shallow. It's a basic cover-shooter without much innovation done to the formula.
-Convoluted inventory system with far too many items, with many labeled as "junk".
Side Note:
I consider myself to be lucky with how many bugs and performance issues I've ran into. The biggest bug I've seen within ~6 hours of gameplay was one NPC stuck in a T-Pose that wasn't relevant to the story, aside with some clipping problems.
Conclusion:
The game's cool enough for me to keep playing it, mainly because I spent $60 and intend to get my money's worth. However, if you're on the fence about getting the game and weren't on the hype train with everyone else, you should probably spend your money on another game, or at least hold off until they actually fix the technical issues in the game. There's almost no guarantee that your computer (or even console for that matter) can actually handle the game.

Cool weapon and monster designs, with a combo system that isn't too complex but still rewarding to master. Overall fun game to play, but easily far better with friends.

you like dragon ball? play the game.
you like fighting games? play the game.
you don't know how to play fighting games and want a simple one to start with? play the game.
the only issue i have is with the netcode, but then again most people in low ranks/mid ranks tend to have crappy internet anyways. grab it and play with a friend and you'll see tons of hours slowly sink into an abyss.
