If you're poor and cannot afford Hearts of Iron IV, you can play it here though with less features due to this game being developed by a single person.
The fact this game is free is even more of a reason to snatch this one up, and it's fun to play if you like having your brain stimulated like myself!

I got this game because Alex the rambler made videos on this game, I was intrigued. I saw that the game had achievements, that I think could be easy to complete.
However... there's a problem, you cannot actually achieve them. On top of that the game is incredibly boring and way too easy. There's no way to increase the difficulty either unless you play naturally difficult countries. But not even that is hard if you consistently improve relations with countries you're not ready to go to war with at that moment. But once you grow large enough then the game turns from (kind of) medium to the difficulty a literal toddler can beat it without any issues.
It was also a while ago when I played this game, but if I remember correctly. The game isn't stable either, like it crashes pretty much all the time. The devs seems to have moved on from this game too 'cause they advertise a different game I haven't played but looking at the stability of this game, i ain't touching that game with a 2 meter pole.

I initially have been loving this game for years on end. But recently I think the game has been ruined by the amount of DLCs it has received in a short periods of time. The same goes with all other paradox games. The games are good... as long as you have all the DLCs of course!

Paradox games released after 2014-ish without DLC is. Simply put. Borderline unplayable... I love this game and I do recommend you buying it as long as you're willing to pay all the DLC too, if you only plan on buying the base game then be in for a ride 'cause the experience sure kind of sucks imo... sorry to break it for you. But by all means, if you really do not care then go ahead and buy the game!

I made Canada into a dictatorship with the help of motorists, I couldn't have made it without them. But overall it's a awesome game, I would recommend to anyone who would be interested!

When i bought this game, i really hoped i would get the same experience when i played on the console and i was wrong. i loved the game as a kid but now i get a black screen 1 minute into the battle and back to normal the next 2,5 minutes and repeat. when i pause the game i get my sight back, but when i click on resume the screen is black once again. i also tried restarting it a couple times with same result. changing graphic settings doesn't work either since i still had the black screen. i checked the requirements for the game and i met every demand this game had. really disappointed to say at least...

Edit 1st of May 2022: I will now switch this to a positive review as I got it to work now thanks to a friend of mine who recommended me to turn off discord's overlay.

This game is funny but alot of bugs.

Hate this game, Very hard and BORING!!!
