After a while, you realize you are just playing Overwatch again.

Also somehow runs worse than Monster Hunter Wilds.

I'm glad they lifted the restrictions and now everyone can dive, especially the pope. Please don't do this ♥♥♥♥ again Sony.

Helldivers 2 is one of the rare cases where a live service works really well. Every player feels involved in the major event and playing the Major Orders feel like you're interacting with the devs. The cooperation also extends beyond a single mission and has cultivated the players into banding together even in the darkest of times like the PSN fiasco. I don't care if I get swarmed by 17 Bile Titans at once, but as long as I can die having fun with my fellow Helldivers, I am happy.

The words below are written before the restrictions were lifted, I will keep it here as a reminder of Sony's horrible history.

Whatever Sony did left a bad stain on the player base and we will now thread even more carefully around your products and any other live service games. Isolating a portion of your players is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ way to treat them and enforcing a third party service on them is unnecessary and risky. It was terribly gut wrenching watching a good game almost get publicly executed right in front of me. Players have the power, the devs are on your side. Fight corporate greed and liberate video games for the fans!

YUP THIS IS STAYING RED

I had a blast playing the Beta. The combat is amazing and I loved the fresh take on the BR genre, but I wasn't convinced that the game was worth buying.

Now I'm back for the free weekend to check out what's new and could sway my opinions on this game, and oh boy it absolutely got worse. I could not enjoy a single game as it would take ages for all the assets to load with medium graphics. The game would have already sent me into the battlefield long before the pick up function was enabled and the frame rate drops harder than the two bombs that changed the course of world history. I am using a GTX 1660 ti which i have no trouble running Apex Legends, Cyberpunk 2077 and Elden Ring at high graphics.

If you're unfamiliar with the soulsborne genre and you want to dip your toes into it but you're too afraid to try, Elden Ring is the right game to start off. Or you're more into the open world genre, From Software has done a great job creating a massive open world where no place looks or feels empty.

This game has made me want to look for every nook and cranny of this world and will always be amazed at what I find whooping my ass multiple times. Every region and location is unique, except for caves but what you find inside is never the same. The map is HUGE , and if you've already seen that, there is also another underground world deep below the one you've been exploring .

The game is also very accessible for people who are new to the soulsborne genre as the open world allowed players to diverge from the main path to look for new items and strengthen their characters just to come back and have an easier time fighting the main bosses.

The combat is incredible with so many varieties to play with. I have only played solo and most of the bosses are bearable as long as I learn their attacks and change my playstyle to match the situation. Every boss is beatable, it is not wrong to cheese the boss, it is not wrong to play multiplayer. As long as it is intended by the developers, it is not cheating. The bosses aren't fair anyways.

Initially, I've had some performance issues when running the game on my GTX 1660 ti graphics card. The framerate dipped down to 20 fps when I was travelling in a vast open area with extreme weather. However, I've never noticed any frame drops ever since the last patch.

My only problem with this game is that there isn't a quest log, because I tend to forget what side quest are ongoing. I don't need a detailed one, just short descriptions of the quests will do. But then again, this is coming from a player who's new to the genre, so don't get angry about it.

Just keep this in mind every where you go: "Try finger but hole" "Death ahead..."
