Shoot 2 guys, trigger a 5 minute cutscene with annoying flashing effects, shoot 3 more guys trigger another cutscene, game is just waiting to crash every 8 minutes, and of course the Rockstar launcher.
Don't bother.

This game is an atmospheric gold mine buried underneath a terrible combat system. OH MY GOD, I don't even know how to express how inconsistent and infuriating this game's combat is.
The combat system inherits a lot of its spirit from the Last of Us, which offers a combination of ranged and melee combat.
To be fair, the combat loop has its own twists and turns and attempts to improve on some of the lack luster mechanics of similar games. It gives the player a reliable way to use their ranged weapons in the midst of melee combat.
The problem is how inconsistent it is. Sometimes your weakest attacks stagger a big enemy, sometimes a heavy charged attack won't even make the weaklings move an inch, at least interrupt their attacks.
Physics are also a big problem in this game. I'm 5 hours in and I have had countless experiences where I've been trying to push an enemy into an environmental hazard and accidentally stepped into the hazard myself because the enemy lunged forward (away from the hazard) to attack me and somehow died to the hazard anyway, making me lunge into the hazard trying to counter attack a non-existent enemy xd.
To conclude my opinion so far, this game tries to be a combination of Dead Space and TLOU. And while it succeeds to surpass its sources of inspiration at some points, it fails miserably to even get close to them in others.
Just buy on a big sale and play on the easy difficulty. (Don't torture yourself like I did!)
