Everything in here stays pretty reasonable in terms of image size and amount of colors, it's a fun time seeing where each image will lead into the next!

[tl;dr: I'm in love with this one] I had no clue Islanders was getting a sequel until the day it dropped. The first game I had 38 hours in, dozens of runs and plenty of tricks picked up along the way; taking that experience into New Shores, I spent almost 34 hours on just my first run alone. There's so many new mechanics that mesh with and expand on the established gameplay loop excellently, from certain island gimmicks to single-use Boons that can catapult your score far beyond what was possible in the previous game. Seriously, I can't heap enough praise on here without sounding repetitive. Getting over 600 points from a single Mountain Shrine might be the closest I will ever come to achieving nirvana.

3D action-platformers from this era are right up my alley, and boy did this one ever deliver! Gameplay is a blast, the characters are cute and fun, and the soundtrack rules. Play this ASAP!!!!

I have yet to reach the third room, but I still find myself smiling at just how surgically brutal a lot of the drops are. Perfect sound design, too

absolutely oozing with personality and SOUL, and an insane skill ceiling that encourages the player to show off at every turn. Plus, possibly the coolest final boss sequence I have ever played. Absolutely worthy of all the praise it has received

game is whatever, but it will always suffer from the flaw inherent to this genre of game: 90% of the playerbase doesn't know how to play the damn game, and they will always be on your team

What a fun game! All the girls had a unique experience to offer. Monika, for example, ended up being pretty similar to Monika. On the other hand, Monika was probably my favorite of the bunch. Although, Monika had plenty to offer as well. If I had to choose, though, I'd probably go with Just Monika.

oh boy. I was not prepared for the ride offered by this game. Going into the story not knowing what to expect, I thought I was in store for a light-hearted tale. I was immediately proven wrong, watching the story unravel as my heart sunk lower and lower into my chest. But in the end, I really enjoyed the message, which I interpret as "Sometimes, all it takes is one person to keep you going." Great job.
