A person should definitely look at the game in its current state as more of an Early Access title instead of a complete product.

As a player who enjoys messing around, and exploring I've been having a blast so far, theres an exploration mode and modes that have missions and snippets of story that are connected to eachother, giving you extra avatar options as reward and p l o t and spooky l o r e if you're interested.

The game needs optimization and polish for the VR experience especially, im between the minimum and recommended specs and it runs smooth maybe %70 of the time in desktop. VR was really bad for me tho big oof.

General things that really got in the way for me: (theres obviously a lot more that needs fixed but it didnt really get in the way of my enjoyment of the game like these things)

- (in VR) VR.

- (In VR) The slippery movement feeling, having a little more instant input and snap for vr like how the Desktop mode feels.

- (In VR) Rotation options, current snap rotation is way too much, and works differently in-game compared to the lobby?
having the option to change the amount of snap rotation and having smooth rotation would be amazing

- (In VR) The Grass moves oddly with my camera view and I fear for my life.

- Settings for the game while in the player lobby are accessible through a physical object near where you spawn, which would be cute if the lobby wasnt the size of a football stadium with key locations a good 30 second run from eachother.


Things I like:

- the music

- what the hecc how massive is the map oh my god

- the little sparkly slug butterflies ok

Like a lot of people are saying, the game has a lot of potential but needs more work.
If you're still interested in it because of that but deterred from purchasing for the jankiness atm the developers have been responding and fixing things from day 1 so keep an eye out.

TLDR: It a neat game in desktop if ur trash like me and have low af expectations, now my blood will spill. I am enjoying the game but wouldn't recommend it to my friends cus we all got different thresholds of tolerance and mine is freakishly high. but im giving it a thumbsup cus theres no godamn inbetween option and i lean more to yes
