ACTUAL REVIEW:
I had to do very minimal tweaking to get the feedback feeling natural and the cars feel great. It is definitely not on the full sim side yet but nowhere near a simcade, but I think that's a positive as it makes the game more approachable for newer or inexperienced drivers. Expect this to change though as time goes on and the full physics is implemented and tweaked, it will likely improve greatly as we get closer to the actual release date.
My biggest gripe and the reason I advise people to pick it up now and forget about it until later on in the year is the optimisation, clearly the focus has been on getting it to a somewhat presentable state and not on delivering a smooth experience for those of us with worse hardware. Expect this to also change and improve. In its current state all tracks and layouts run at about 20-30fps, excepting for BH GP layout, which runs at about 80-100 but with big stutters and 0.1% lows of 2-3fps which make it hard to drive.
Early Access**, meaning the devs are allowing us a chance to try it out and give feedback, we have already had two very quick patches to fix issues. It isn't finished but I'm happy to buy it now at a lower cost, and come back to it when it is better optimised, as of the time I'm writing this review it is a very strong tech demo, and shows promising signs of what is to come.

Beautiful atmosphere, art and soundscape. Combine those smooth, responsive and satisfying controls with the physics and it makes for a perfect experience. It's like they took the best parts from Halo 2 and Halo 3 and put it into one game.

I really wanted to play and to like this game but there are just so many issues with it currently that I'm putting it away without ever planning to come back to it. Performance wise the stuttering, freezes and crashes are a constant distraction and become 10x worse inside of Hogwarts or any villages, and I don't think either the game play or the story stands out enough to justify dealing with it. The story is quite stale and uninspired, once you've played the first couple hours the nostalgia wears off and it becomes a task just to sit through this game, and I really tried. There are mods that try to remedy some of the performances issues, and they do work to a very marginal extent, but it shouldn't be left to the consumer to try fix the product they've purchased. I waited for patches, upgraded my PC in the meantime, and now coming back months later it just feels like my nostalgia has been monopolised on. Oh well, I'll take the L but that doesn't mean you should too. If you are sitting on the fence about this one, I think rather skip or buy when its at like 20% of the price :). Upset about this one though, like I said I REALLY tried to enjoy this game.

Hopefully I can run it at 60fps in 2077.

Kinda chilly game, not scary but like hectic cold if you catch my (snow) drift. Haha I made a joke. Lirly this game is so chilly you might get frostbite from playing it like I did. Keeps you on your toes though, thats for sure. One minute everything is going great and you enjoying life maybe even writing a poem or something then BLAMO bit by a wolf or BLAMO half killed by a flufferclaw or BLAMO stuck in a blizzard. So you gotta think about the chillies, not just chill, which is quite fun imo.
11/10 would chill again

So the first thing I noticed when I started playing this game was the amount of pew pew noises. Pretty soon I learnt how to make them myself. After a while I started pew pewing at high velocity and started using my new found talent to climb up the ranks. Pew pewied all the way up to the highest rank (Global Elite).
So as the highest rank the things I have to say is this is definitely a pew pew game. Nothing much other than that. If your good at pew pew games and being tactical then I recommend. If not I rate you invest in some camo first then get into the pew pew.
11/10 would pew pew again.
