the AH game devs REALLY need to get in touch with their player base because this game is hemorrhaging players so incredibly fast with the direction it's going in.

i just do not understand the obsession with unfun game design. the monkeys paw balancing, the god awful new enemy design, and an insistence on taking agency away from the player in any way possible makes for an absolutely mind-numbing experience. y'know, implying you can even subject yourself to these things in the first place. constant crashing, frame drops, stutters, and endless amounts of game breaking bugs plague the game in its current state. no agency to fix that stuff though, AH has consistently shown that they want to patch out the fun and mostly harmless stuff as soon as possible before the bugs/issues that have persisted since launch.

i absolutely adored this game, and it has served as a glimmer of hope for the horde shooter genre that's kinda been getting kicked in the teeth lately with the two juggernauts of the genre ( payday and killing floor ) releasing their third games and well-

we saw how those went.

i do really hope this game sees some sort of turn around. a comeback that sticks rather than the constant shifting back and forth between "it's so over" and "we're so back" that this game has seemingly been cursed with. in the meantime though, this sucks man.

i do have one positive take away from this!

it feels good having 140 gigs back on my hard drive.

Extremely fun for what it presents, but it only took me and my buddies about 3 hours to complete.
I love the concept, but this game is way too lacking in content and playtime for somethin' they priced at 30 bucks.
I'd stay clear of this game for now, until it gets some sorta huge content update.
