After a big promotional impulse to get extra new sales they decided to let game die, officially.

Only a year of game service is granted, keep selling this on this situation is a flagrant scam.

---

Unplayable, 3 hour queues to enter servers and no grace period, you got disc, start queue agagin.

Servers tranfers exists, as an extra payment, and they are worthless because all servers face same isses, the only difference is they are 4 hours or 2 hours (before they get full capacity and get locked)

If you manage to pass the queue time wall game is good, not great but good, seems it improved a lot since release, well at least for that session, next day you'll have to wait over again 3 4 hours, to play again...

FRAUD.

Update, Game's becomeing even worst each patch, intorducing absurd bugs taht completely ruins gameply.

Naw game's makes vehicles not perfectly landed to be swallowed by groun, you not only lose vehicle and contents, it's not destroyed, just traped and unrecoverable and wasting one of your ten limited vehicles slots.

No matter how much you want to like and insist to play this game, each day they manage to ruin your experience on it.

And worst is Funcom (actually sub rented) customer support dont care and dont give a ♥♥♥♥ about you.

Game's on its core is not bad at all, but completely lacks end game content.
It can be replaced with a farm - build cycle just for the shake of building bases, at least for a time.

At least until the released the DLC and main content extension, then game got broken:
  • Full of bugs
  • Questlines got broken and you can not play them whole
  • In game rewards dissapears, no recovery options as official help assitants mailed me back.
(Even items advertised as content of the product/DLC, they are not giving you what they advertise, that's a fraud)
  • Tons of bugs makes you loose equipment, vehicles, time, and the will to play...

And Funcom does nothing to fix it, they just focus on a try and error, (error and error) loop; to work and rework the deep desert, ignoring Test servers feedback, which is making players bleed out in thousands.

Curent status:
  • No PVP.
  • No PVE Quest style.
  • No PVE Sandbox style.

Buy it only in discount and if you plan to play it as a buggy solo sandbox game where you will build bases and play, if not gets broken, an incomplete questline, until you "finishes it" like if it was not an online game at all.

Playing with friends is possible, althoug not real content or mechs that make it worth ingame apart of the time shared with friends, but there are better, working and cheaper online games for that honestly...

This is my very last trust on Funcom ever.
(Hope any big IP holder too, they ruined Conan IP now they ruined Dune one...)

A standard Diablo, too much monetized and a false free weekend which is in fact a level limited demo.

"SHORT? NO, EXTREMELY SHORT!

The content is great, a good story, well presented, somewhat original, good maps.
In short, it's fun.

But it's terribly short, barely 8 hours of gameplay, I breezed through it in two relaxed sessions.

This is WEEKLY caliber content, but they're releasing it every 3 or 6 months?
With the boost this gave the game, they won't even make it to Christmas."

Early Access Review
UPDATE:

This software and related executable tavernWorker.exe is detected by Symantec's Norton trying to access Chrome session credentials data.

This is not an euristic nor reputation based or signature detection, is an actual attempt of accessing other applications confidential data.

I do hace screenshots and detection report ID wich can be used to contact Norton for further data, but as it's an actual request to read files belonging other applications confidential data this is directly an Spyware.

ORIGINAL:

I've been playing this game for a While and I liked it, the concept: Dwelling in dark undeground dungeons where you can
barely see in search for loot and a safe exit while mobs and other teams lurking there try to kill you.

Liked all the mechanics this involves, turning off torches to be able to hide, taking potions out of belt not to be easily seen,
so you can both sneaky bypass another team or just lurk in the dark to hunt them by suprise.

Even when the free version is a so much limited sneak peek of the game:
* Only one character.
* Only entry level maps.
* No access to community market/auction.
...

So I was thinking on paying the full version to have access to the full real game, but then I make the mistake of going
to Twitch and ended watching a stream there where people was playing DaD...

Everything changed on the first seconds, it was a "Once seen can not be unseen" experience that also explained some
situations I had in game from time to time:

The first I noticed was the light pale grey of the menus, they use to be like dark carbon, in that very moment I realized
what was happening...

I just waited for them to join a match and, as sadly expected, a full dark hallway, with all lamps faded as they turned
them off, and without torches, was bright for them as sunny day.

Then they camped there another team, they were "in plain sigth", an absolute dark but plain sight, so the other team
didnt even realized they were in front of their noses until they got ganked and mocked by a team that could perfectly
seen them while not the oposite.
(Special mention of the "mocked" part, it's not only the explit but the toxic the community gets to be)

Then I knew game is dead, I checked several other channels, all the same, this will be the "way to go", specially as this is obviously oversigthed and consented, and it's completely ruining the base concept of "Dwell in the darkness" of the game.

I can't recommend this game because it fails enforcing its fundamental gameplay concept and preventing a simple exploit
that ruins the base idea and creates a heavy unbalance between players wanting to play the game as is, "dark" and exploiters
wanting to "win" whatever it takes, even ruining gameplay and other experience.

If you think you'll like Frostpunt and Tetris in space you'll like this game, but with some hard edges an unnecessary complications: the fact that streets takes place and the buildings do not have stardard sizes plus being "building facing sensitive" can make it a bit frustrating.

If you're in a choice, Frostpunk is better imho.

Crumpy controls, unresponsive and hard to control.

Menus design is unintuitive and mostly absurd.

Lack lots of configuration options, several key harcoded and not even documented,
and if u manage to swap one key overlaping one of those starts so to behave weird.

Sounds locks if device changes, like plugging or unplugging your headphones.

Character movement is ortopedic, feels like walking with pogos instead of legs.

Feels completely as a bad port of a bad implemented console game.

On the background is a good fallout game (3, 4, etc) similar feeling,
but the extremely poor desing of interfaces hurts it.

Is a game I actually like to play but that I can't do smooth due to all those problems, still the end the experience is relaxed exploring gameplay old style.

And after so much time released It's obvious nothing is gonna be fixed anymore.

Interesting as a concept, boring as a game.

No choices, no skill challenge, no memory challenge, no knowledge challenge, no learning curve as there is nothing to be learn, ...

Not even a chance to screw everything up and ruin a expensive rover...

No sandbox mode, you can not built or design your own robers, there are 5 models to disassemble / assemble, once done fully twice for each one (two of them are identical) the interest is lost...

Is not a game at all, just do what the game tells you to, and it's always done clicking RMB (I think there is a pair of things done by LMB) on the green marked piece.

Of course, repair and soldering tables ar far, far, far, far, from being a simulation of anything real, not even resembling to be seeing someone doing it or a chance to learn anything.

I'm not a solder / mechanic expert / professional but done it a pair of times, this is to real component dissasemble / circuit soldering as fishing on a mmorpg is to real life fishing.

Got the game bundled and enjoyed it for some hours (4-5) then got bored of repetition, good looking and interesting as an interactive divulgative manual for space rover for kids, but in no way an "advaced simulator".

Still no regretting geting it bundled as it was not my main interest on the bundle, but does not deserve to pay for it, unless what's described is exactly what you want: Have a chance to see / show a naive interpretation of a electro-mechanical tecnician work.
