They took the classic Age of Mythology and spiced it up just right with their changes. Rechargeable god powers! Pretty graphics! Buttery smooth gameplay. Everything that was good about AoM is here, just amped up a few degrees. Higher pop cap with the favor resource also being uncapped, leaves a ton of room for possibilities.

We even have a new major god, with the potential for more! This could easily become a game with an expanded lifespan if the dev team and Microsoft decide it's worth their dollar to do so. There are two whole expansions on the way as well, this is an exciting time.

This will be my go-to RTS from now on.

Early Access Review
Gave it an earnest try. Tried to beat the first dive boss, did six or so runs. Just can't seem to do it. Feels like a colossal waste of time in a bad way. Too many buggos spawning on top of me during the boss fight, not enough AoE abilities. Dunno if it's just RNG but I'm not going to stick around to find out.

Cool concept, but fails to capture the Vampire Survivors aspect of gaining power. Fun vs grinding. The unlocks in the other game feel meaningful while the unlocks in this game leave me wishing there was more ability to make things go BOOM. Too much bullcrap on my screen, not enough BOOM to make them go away. Why doesn't our dwarf use their pickaxe on the smaller bugs when we run into them? -HP to us but no -HP to them when we bump? Unlocked the gunner dude, told myself if I can't beat the first boss with him, I'd refund.

Well, got the last boss down to 25% again but the game punishes you for fighting the last boss. So the bugs not only get stronger while the announcer kept shouting at me to "GET IT DUN", their numbers also increase in volume. Health pickups and any sort of regen basically disappears as you're swarmed by the beefier bugs. Yeah sure. I'll get it done. With my foot up your ass. Shut up while I'm doing this final boss, announcer.

The pacing also seems to be a little too fast. There are side objectives to beat and you can mine rocks, explore the map. There are neat little treasure bugs to squish. I like this aspect. Unless if you're souped up with those mining percent increase cards, you wont be getting much loot. It's nice that each match is short. But I'd rather sit through a longer match than feel rushed into going to the pod, or beating the boss before the map is filled with enemy pixels.

There need to be more AoE abilities. Be it explosives or guns that pew pew in every direction. I dunno, I don't care. The scout was also a terrible first choice for the first character you play. They don't seem to get many cool unlocks. Compared to other games of the same genre, you can sometimes beat the first level with the first character. They usually end up being pretty fun. Not the scout.

I really enjoy the art style and humor of Deep Rock, which was why I picked this up in the first place. 10$ isn't that much to spend, so it's very well priced.

Maybe there will be balance updates in the future, but my first experience with this game soured it for me. I'm confident other people are having a good time with it though, so more power to you all.

I've bought every DLC from WH1 to WH3, with the exception of your newest 25$ DLC pack.

For that price I'd expect a new, fully fleshed out faction. What do we get? 3 Legendary Lords and a unit roster that does very little to pad out the existing races you chose to feature in that DLC pack. You lot must be really getting ribbed hard by your investors to destroy all the good faith you've built with your community these long, long years. I waited patiently for WH3. I waited patiently for the DLCs to release -- because I thought it would get to a standard that would match WH2. I was wrong.

Warhammer 3 was supposed to be your magnum opus. The king of kings. CA, you can still fix this. Your management just need to pull their heads out of your investor's buttholes and actually support your developers on this project. Help them help you. If you lot screw this game up more than you have, there will be no relevancy left for you.

You think anyone will buy anything from you goobers again if you let this beautiful idea fail from mismanagement? Respect our time, respect our money. Inflation has hit everyone. Products are shrinking in size everywhere, prices are going up across the board. I refuse to believe inflation has hit a game company as hard as it has the rest of us. Maybe in your bottom line in the fact you actually have to pay your employees, CA. But I doubt they hardly see any of the benefits of your increased prices, hence - I don't give a damn about any PR speech related to your hardships. Your workers don't get any extra pay, only your crappy management do. I bet your management aren't even game developers. I bet they're just scum sucking bean counters who wormed their way up in the game industry through their sales experience. Guess what, people want a good game. Just give them one and they'll pay. These bad reviews aren't just because of your awful, awful DLC. The game itself is not in a good state. Promises that were made have been under-delivered. There has been an extremely long gap between DLC and updates. People have expectations, hopes - and those two things can only be betrayed so many times.

Then you give them Shadows of Change? More like Shadows of the Underwhelmed. There's only one way to teach a bean counter how to invest in a good game. Make bad game. Numbers go down. No need for any of us to invest our time and money in disappointment.

Make a good game, numbers go up. I know investors are like children in that they're used to instant gratification. But maybe they can learn how to wait like the rest of us are forced to? At least they wont be disappointed by the cold hard cash you dummies will make if you actually pull WH3 off right. It'll take time. Just show the community good faith, transparency and a willingness to veer back onto the right track. Prices to match the content provided, bullcrap about 'inflation' aside. 3 LLs and some units meant to slightly pad out some base game faction niches? 14.99$.

Hey you know what I'll even be generous and offer some solutions, it'll make your desk jockeys heads spin.

Change your Shadows of Change DLC to 14.99$ and offer those who've bought the DLC a discount on the next content pack you decide to release, equal to the 10$ they have lost. I mean, it's practically ensuring returning customers!!! If you can't do that? Offer them all exclusive beta access to your next content pack for testing/enjoyment. Wow, a band-aid and it's practically free. All you'd have to do after that is fix/tweak what's already there in between your DLC projects. Maybe fix some bugs and features you promised.

I know, I'm a genius. You're welcome.

Balancing is awful, AI will roll you every time. You need to do special builds to survive and win. There isn't much room at all to try new things, or play a faction you might enjoy aesthetically. Most of the starting heroes aren't up to snuff either. If you get bad RNG with the weekly buffs/debuffs you're screwed too. The AI don't seem to suffer the same twists. Also enjoy not being able to fight most battles above moderate if you don't have good spells or perks.

Game would be fun if the AI didn't roll around on week 2 with an army 3x my army's size. This was on easy difficulty. Yes I'm bad, but that's why I was playing on easy, to learn what I could do with the game's mechanics! But I just can't get that far and I really can't be bothered to put more effort in.

Very aesthetically pleasing art style though, hope things change! I want to love this game real bad.

One of the better RTS games to release in recent years. I hope to see a sort of "Rebuild" mode where you can take over an infinitely randomly generated world while trying to survive. Imagine losing parts of your ridiculously large colony only to hold the line 2-3 maps away haha.

The campaign is really fun. I sort of wish you got more points to put toward upgrades early on though.

Hi reader, I've invested a fair amount of time in this game and thought you might wish to know a little bit about this game before installing it onto your harddrive.

EDIT: Before you install, spend any time or money, here's a little tid bit I wish I had known before mindlessly clicking accept on the EULA.

"TRION MAY SUSPEND, MODIFY, TERMINATE OR DELETE ANY ACCOUNT AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON OR FOR NO REASON, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE TO YOU. Accounts terminated by Trion for any type of abuse, including without limitation a violation of these Terms of Use or a Game EULA, will not be reactivated for any reason. For purposes of explanation and not limitation, most account suspensions, terminations and/or deletions are the result of violations of this Terms of Use or any applicable Game EULA."

-Keep in mind the above is for ANY REASON, if they don't like you or just decide to ban you out of the blue one day, they will.

-The gameplay is fun in the beginning, you feel yourself progressing quickly and - with the new craftable classes, you can do even more for the mid-late game. Collect a bit of gear here and there, but you'll quickly find yourself hitting a wall, the early game is...Well, short. Around level 20 is where your mid game begins, from there you'll likely be grinding for your first Shadow V's or maybe even your first Radiant pieces and if you've been fortunate, you figured out the chat box can lead you to progressing just an inch further than you'd normally with a group of people your own level.

-After level 20? It's very, very grindy to get to level 30, which, a lot of people who have stuck around in this game probably really like the grind. But even when you hit level 30, you'll still be grinding, for more gear, likely to try and get your first Stellars, probably around level 20-21 you'll have gotten your first empowered gem which you may or may not be able to equip depending on your level. Along your way to 30, you'll be able to equip more gems - most of your power comes from gems, though a full set of Stellar gear gives a considerable amount that cannot be ignored as you gem up.

-When RNG is good, it makes you feel fantastic, as opposed to the heavier side of the coin - the bad RNG, will make you want to rake your fingernails across a sidewalk, or any chalkboard you can find.

-You can skip much of the grind by simply throwing extremely large sums of money into their store, which - if the game did have a price tag of say, 20$ - 40$, you'd make yourself blush by how much you could spend in one sitting, especially on their "value packs". Some purchases will seem necessary as you reach the late game, especially if you want to have an easier time collecting the PERFECT gems for your slots once you've reached level 30. You'll likely be very tempted to purchase tomes as well, when they're available as tomes give you a secondary reason to be out in the world grinding, as you grind, their XP bars fill up, once the bar fills out, it poops out whatever it says it'll give, into your inventory.

-I myself was blushing as I spent a fair amount of cash during my own grind to try and get into what is essentially the late game. Though even with what I'd spent, I found myself still needing to grind excessively, in this game. You can effectively increase your luck through a stat that is known as "MF" or "Magic Find", the most common way to do this is by crafting sick ass dragon mounts that can lob bombs down onto blocks and fly. Unfortunately for me, somewhere along the road my prepaid card I used for the shortcuts, must of had a hiccup and whatever money I did spent seems to have vaporized into nothing, moreso than just pixels on the screen - with that said, I did give the game a break only to come back seven months later, I was able to log in and play about two times, until finally a few days ago, I found myself banned. I had no mail concerning the reason for my banning, nor did I have any spam mail. It took two days for the first reply, bumping my ticket up because the guy who responded couldn't do anything I guess, then another two or so days pass and I get my most current reply, - as you know I mentioned a pre-paid card, seven months ago to now, apparently that card was the reason I got banned. I hadn't been expecting anything to do with money when the good customer support stated the reason, I myself had thought I got banned because after I linked Steam and Glyph together for easier login, I tried launching the game through the folder it was installed in, instead of through steam, on admin (there was a problem with the auth server, it was likely my firewall blocking trove for whatever reason) and that'd been when the first error of being banned appeared (it only happened then).

-SO...I'm still unsure if my banning had anything to do with money, why hadn't I been banned seven months ago (or the few days I logged in recently?). I've got a strong suspicion that it had something to do with trying to log in through the folder (technical support said to try and set the Glyphdownloader to run as admin but there was no option for that.)...With that said, it could very well have been a very, very delayed issue with a prepaid debit card.

-Still unsure of what exactly got me banned as they will not tell me, me but I got the end result regardless, perma ban, not a temp ban. Please keep in mind that I did nothing wrong in game at all during my time of play and whatever financial aspects of a pre-paid card were completely out of my hands.
