This review is not for the rally purist. If you're a filthy casual and just love super precise, highly technical driving, I'm your type of people. I am not a rally expert. I don't know all the details of the sport, technical or otherwise. I just take whatever car they give me, adjust nothing and have a blast in the races. This is my first WRC game, coming from all the Dirt Rallys ever made with hundreds of hours played among them. I find the driving in this game using my old wired xb360 controller very satisfying, more so than dirt, but the sound is a major step back compared. If you are a casual and like dirt and you're probably sick and tired of the same dirt maps over and over, you'll most likely love this as there are a ton of countries and tracks to explore. The graphics are beautiful, mostly better than anything in dirt. There have been a couple times while driving i'll be amazed at a beautiful sunset or some other scenery, enough to notice and be pleasantly surprised yet not distracted while driving. I play the solo leagues almost every day and it is fun competing against other people, although the groups i'm placed in are usually very small so you don't feel like you have that much competition. Back in the pre-season, they pit you against pretty much every other player in all platforms which I found to be fun to see how I stack up worldwide, but now that doesn't seem to be the case anymore, sadly. That's really the end of my complaints, but remember take this from the point of view of a casual, but avid fan of rally.
