Plants by the pave

Everyday as I walk through that street,
a street in between a populated graveyard and a tainted creek
an unusual thought sometimes come to peek.
How can these things live with reek.

The stench produced by polluted water,
bearable yes but, for the plants its a bit rotter.
Fated to grow in such undesirable conditions,
but maybe nature has its own propositions.

In exchange for the pessimistic atmosphere,
nature made it atleast possible to appear.
A beauty that struck me unclear,
an alluring plant that gives quite a cheer.

Simple in nature but lessens the sore
Comes in pink and white to subtly adore.
Its light colors made it difficult to ignore,
Its like nature meant it to decor.

"Appreciate the simple things in life" some say,
it brings optimism to life's gray.
Cherishing the little experiences makes it worth living the day,
grew on stray, they're Bugambilias by the way.
