Old School survival with typing as controls

I think a misconception for a shooting typing game is that it will be a rail shooter like typing of the dead.
You are not stuck following one set path. The combat is definitely like typing of the dead however, you are in a level where you can
  • Type to move in different directions
  • Use a map to make informed choices on where to go next
  • Make choices on what to keep on you as inventory space is limited in a great way
  • Play differently based on your character choice ( 8 Characters to choose from with different perks and stats)

Once you have gotten a small understanding of the controls you can realise its a lot more like Resident Evil: Outbreak than Typing of the Dead. Being able to see too many monsters to handle and try to get away or just even kite them makes the typing movement feel like a non issue while still being fun to do.

The game is being updated/receiving fixes and has a Dev active in the discussion tab which provides good promise if you're having thoughts on getting the game.

My personal suggestions for this game to have more to offer:
  • Provide more levels in the future / perhaps even a workshop work players to provide content for you
  • Typing difficulty set by each player instead of per lobby so some slower WPM players can play with a higher WPM player
  • A wave based mode seeing how long you can survive for
  • Leader boards for players wanting to compare level completion speed or survival times if mode is considered
  • Achievements load this game with them

Very cool Game I definitely recommend it if you have a group interested

This is a great free game. Torn Banner Studios took over making No More Room in Hell 2 and ruined it. Just play this one

Episode based Skills are weird and make grinding prior skills useless.

Huge NMRIH 1 fan. Age of Chivalry Fan.

Giving your baby to Torn Banner after they killed their own baby is a really bold move that could've actually worked... it didn't and Torn Banner killed NMRIH 2 right before our eyes.

Torn Banner should be held accountable for ruining this game. This will need a No mans sky level redemption to save it. This could have been a huge first impression but now its lost all momentum.

-One big map is a huge oversight of competence for what the original game had to offer.
-Starting alone everytime is a drag and they won't change it cause they made a cute lil group system
-HUD Markers ruin immersion
-Networking is Poor
-Inventory management is simplified for the dumbest person alive
-No workshop for custom levels
-no healthy communication with the community
- The lack of foresight the devs had to not see this coming is the worst part of it all

Also its not playable I keep crashing

Torn Banner is bad and will continue to be bad

Go finish Chivalry 2 Torn Banner its not near done at all.

EDIT ADDITION

After playing for a decent amount of time I can say the game can be turned over into something good but I still believe it will be way too late after the hype train.

Blatant problems in game:
  • Player Models invisible
  • Zombies disappearing and reappearing
  • Crawling Zombies not taking damage
  • Melee hits on zombies inconsistent
  • Running stops working at random times for the rest of the match regardless of full stamina
  • Inventory isn't like NMRIH1 and sucks because of it
  • Ammo types are generalised and shouldn't be
  • Zombies glide and move poorly overall
  • Having the first game be better is insanely sad

THINGS THAT CAN SAVE YOUR GAME
  1. Optimize your game to run better
  2. Smaller Maps or different ending points on large ones it doesn't need to be a journey to the middle only thats dumb
  3. Better and more communication with gamers as seeing community managers literally neglect raising issues to devs with Chiv 2 this will happen here as its a Torn Banner issue.
  4. MORE CHALLENGING PUZZLE AND TEAM PUZZLES

I want to like this game so bad but there's a long way to go and Torn Banner using early access as an excuse is passing the buck. It wasn't ready. Remaking the game from scratch was a dumb idea by Torn Banner too while the game was already almost complete on a prior engine. Instead we got this. I'm curious to see what was before Torn Banner took over.

Love South Park...

The game is put into 5 different acts

Got bored before finishing Act 1

It really is an outdated hack n slash game that will just make you want to do something else

Sounds in combat are off
Skills and cards are repetitive and basic
Too easy even on Hard

BUT its South Park and hopefully Matt and Trey can learn from this and make something better later.
The best parts are just the cut scenes :/
