Cringe dialogue and story imo. Similar to popular web comic and new writer styles.

eg: Use of true and impossible for exaggeration in ability description and from narrator.
- Needless Grimdark themes without nuance or exanded premise? ...or maybe i missed something.

Have not seen the use of 'literal' or 'existence' in a non-literal way yet, good.
Music is fine, not typical or lazy.
Excellent gameplay, atmos, and progression.

conan the barbarian levels of novel grit without taking itself too seriously

good single player, not too slow.
difficulty is forgiving enough that 5 or so mistakes on a 30min dungeon wont cause you to die at the end.
rewards arent too generous or too stingy, a at least 1 interesting unlock per run even after 20 hours.
most playstyles are good, the more powerful, the less reliable.

Great combat.
Death gives entertaining intermissions.
RNG doesnt give *bad runs* but the effects dont feel very strong. - a trade off i appreciate.
Ratchet n Clank art standards, VERY good.

Skill based. Difficult. Lots of content. Needs more bosses and less playable classes imo.

Demo doesnt give it justice.
Difficult content gives unique rewards, heaps of stuff to unlock, heaps to places you'll need it.

Good: Price, Skill based combat, Many viable builds, interesting bosses, amount of content, pixel art.
Average: Progress has some cheesing incentive but this is top tier of its kind.
Bad: ??? ...i guess sustaining hp and mp is a pain for some classes and runs are over an hour.
I zone out and die to beam traps. Feels bad.
Bad is mostly fixed by reaching level 10 or by using Paladin heals and mana chance on hit.

+ exotic scifi without *guardians of the galaxy syndrome*
++ Music is epic and thematically suited without being obnoxious
++ all the menu options

- (a personal annoyance) repetitive sound near ability upgrade station
-- boring grind incentive, needs caps till some challenges are completed
--- a few builds can clear anything without using me brain. "spin 2 win". not NO skill, just a bit tedius.

+ so many specs things to try.
+ lots of interesting loot and characters to unlock.
+++ price.
- so few things to fight, only 2 music themes, & very little variation in zones (feels like it all takes place in a big mansion without gardens).

8/10. needs new game+ or some actually hard achievements so i feel like i have a reason to try all those characters.
