CrossCode has become one of my top 5 favorite games of all time. From the interesting story and characters to the fantastic combat and puzzles this game is just the gift that keeps on giving. It's been a long time since I've been so invested in the story and characters of a game. It had me guessing about the next major plot point or about certain characters and who they might really be. I was always excited to find out what happens next and honestly in today's market it's hard to find an original story that's not cliche in some way but I think CrossCode pulls it off well.
Anyways let's get into the pros and cons of CrossCode

Pros
- Fantastic story and characters
- Engaging and fun combat with a unique skill system
- Interesting puzzles and mechanics
- Amazing soundtrack
- You don't have to grind to complete the story! Just exploring areas and completing quests gives you enough equipment and experience to get through the game.
- Well polished all around
- Fantastic dev team who listen to their community
Cons
- The difficulty can sometimes be a bit too much for some people. Some puzzles are a bit strict on timing and execution, as well as sometimes during combat too much can be going on so it's hard to keep track of everything. (At the time of this review the devs are currently working on an "assist mode" which should make these things easier for the casual player)
There is now an assist mode where you can adjust the Enemy damage, enemy aggression, and timed puzzle difficulty. If you had problems with any of these before and would like a more casual experience then I recommend you try to play this game again, you wont be disappointed.

And... that's it, I don't really have too many issues with this game. All in all I think it's a great addition to the RPG genre and if you're a fan of RPG's and Puzzle's then you'll love this game.
