If you like Twilight Imperium, do yourself a favor and pick up Stellaris Nexus. You'll enjoy this board-game-like 4X feel with more streamlined gameplay. And probably more often, thanks to shorter sessions, once you get your friends online.

If you're a fan of space 4X like Endless Space or Stellaris (like me), there's a good chance you'll enjoy this as well. Just be aware that it's closer to the scale and feel of a board game (like TI4) than those grand strategies.
