Whether it's being swarmed because of the upgrades your dealt, a few bad placement decisions, or a tower combo that didn't work quite the way you thought; Rouge Tower presents a varying challenge with simple aesthetic, decent meta-progression, and a surprising amount of enemy variety.

A good way to kill some time or spend an slow afternoon if you prefer a good challenge or something to sink some time into. Add on the "March of the Monsters" or "Splits-ville" which make the game more of a Rouge-like or a infinitely path splitting nightmare respectively [The latter is more of my opinion].

In any case, with the way it doesn't hand-hold you through a lengthy or set tutorial is appealing as it doesn't treat you as someone absolutely ignorant of what a tower defense is. It has a decent learning curve and you most likely won't beat Ooogie, A recurring varying boss enemy and the first boss you'll encounter during all of your runs, first try. Taking your time to learn the upgrades helps tremendously in extending the life span of your runs.

I'd encourage you to try the game or watch a video of a run on Youtube before you decide to get the game as its' definitely not everyone's cup of tea. All in all a good Buy and more than a few afternoons worth of trying to make it just that little bit further.

This game is extremely fun and the fact that it is free to play just adds to this and collectibale items and a crafting system make the game easier to play. And custom maps from the communitee make it so much better
