This is not a review of the gameplay or the game itself but that launching Arc Raiders on my MSI GE 75 Raider laptop completely breaks the RGB lighting on the keyboard.
As of December 20th 2025 this is occuring.

At first I thought it came from updating nvidia drivers. So I had to do hours worth of trouble shooting and uninstalling of programs / drivers and reinstalling them to get the RGB to function again only to witness it break the RGB again literally right after booting into Arc Raiders.

I'm not sure why Arc Raiders is playing with processes in my system like this that have absolutely nothing to do with running software related to this game in any capacity. Breaking features of my laptop is unacceptable. I would like to see this issue addressed, you can find others on the steam forum for this game experiencing the same issue.

This game is about as optimized as your bowel movements after eating deep fried chili for three weeks.

Do you enjoy fast paced action? Being on the edge of your seat with excitement?!! Palm sweaty action that blows you away????

If you want any of those things then run, run as fast as your legs will take you because this game is a slow monotonous shooter. It includes all of the following, waiting in a hallway or open area behind cover for someone to show up and shoot them or walking down a hall way or open area and getting shot by the guy sitting there waiting. Boy that's some sure fire action that will be fun for the whole family. If that wasn't bad enough I sure hope you enjoy spectating while waiting for the 25+ second respawn (unless you get lucky on time). If there's anything I love about shooters its waiting 30 seconds to get shot in a hallway again by the guy that's sitting there waiting for you.

When I originally left a review for this game it was in 2016. When bots first started appearing, I didnt seem to mind to much as maybe I thought valve was going to get around to fixing this severe issue... Well... Here we are in 2024, 8 entire years later.. Almost a decade! Valve has done, almost nothing to curve the bot issue.. I don't think I need to give everyone here the run down on whats happening, we all understand. VALVE, #FIXTF2 !!! Fix the cheats! Cheaters are worse than bots. So many cringe little kids paying $15 or $20 to cheat in this game and they think this makes them cool... I would LITERALLY be fine with anti cheat that is constantly scanning my PC. ANYTHING, I WOULD TAKE ANYTHING if you fixed this game... VALVE,, COME ON!

Forced mouse acceleration in a first person shooter in 2015 is not acceptable.
Guns become wildly inaccurate at just 20 or so feet away. Rifles, I mean come on there must be 100mph winds or they bought the guns from a shady swap meet for a few dollars each.

The sims 3. Everybody knows what this game is about by now.
You create your own sim and live out it's life or you play as one of the existing sims in the town.

The base game by itself is great. It has provided me with many hours of enjoyment.
Although the dlc's are a bit insane. The game costs 20 dollars. Now if you wan't everything else it will cost you a whopping 469 dollars. You could build a computer for that price or buy a nice component to upgrade your current computer for that price or buy a bunch of games. The DLC prices are crazy but it still does not retract from how much fun the base game is.

Buy the DLC's on sale if you can or go without them.

Intense frantic gameplay with old school style graphics. Tie that together with one fantastic and memorable soundtrack and you have probably one of the best indie games around .

I recommend to pick this bad boy up whenever it goes on sale , I got it in the humble bundle a while back . You won't regret it.
