It's my first time playing the style of this kind of game and I really liked it. The lore was interesting to unravel, but absolutely ignore-able so long as you pay attention to your quest objectives. I haven't explored all classes or anything, but I really enjoy the idea that combining two classes makes a special subclass (Shaman + Arcanist = Druid for example)

The skill system and its abilities are satisfying. Maybe this is a skill issue on my part, but the UI and integration of "Devotions" (another skill tree essentially) is a bit overwhelming at first. The post game elite mode is quite a bit more difficult as opposed to the base playthrough which had us *usually* mowing through things and then having a difficult opponent once in awhile. I'd still recommend going through the base game as-is without the difficulty first. An over all positive experience, but I imagine a solo playthrough may be more laborious and require more effort mentally than I put playing with a partner.

ERROR: S9052-tad-w79j. It's the bane of my existence. What should've, could've, and would've been my favorite game has a constant connection error that kills any motivation I have to play. I've tried at LEAST four online solutions, all of them at once, and it hasn't fixed it. I understand that I can play offline, but multiplayer being a PRIMARY feature - one that gives the game longevity and replayability, and I don't have it. I am sincerely disappointed, in no way should I be trying to fix the same connection error for months, nor should I have to scrape the internet to sift through AI articles and crappy youtube tutorials for the SPECK of chance that my game has decided to ALLOW me to play multiplayer.

Beware that this is a horribly addictive rogue-like that requires very little knowledge of poker to get started. Does it have a plot? No. Some grand objective? No. Do the number go up? HELL YEAH BROTHER.

A dream game of mine that's been worked on by a passionate small dev team for the last 6 years. There's a good roadmap ahead, even better if the devs can stick to it. Right now it's a good game to play for a more sandbox building experience, as it has better more BASIC tools than Planet Zoo has. More in depth review will come when the game has it's first quarterly update. Still needs work in the field of optimization and will likely take awhile to reach its full potential; so have patience and understanding in mind when purchasing this game. Overall still an amazing experience and a must- have for dinosaur lovers.

It feels more purposeless to play than it did before Evrima. New and returning user experience is terrible, if you expect to learn new mechanics you're going to need a guide outside of the game because nothing is explained to you. Expect to die constantly and for it to feel like you've wasted 2+ hours of your time depending on your dinosaur. The game is remarkably pretty with unique concepts for combat that gets executed in the least user friendly way possible. Every year or so I come back to this game after having loved it 5 years ago and every time I'm somewhat disappointed by the state of it. If you expect to get enjoyment of it, make sure you have friends to make the suffering through what is essentially a high-risk time sink a little less miserable and do your research on mechanics before hopping on. This game "hand holds" you if hand holding were actually just chopping them off and expecting you to play with the nubs. As someone who has at the very least experienced several dinosaur survival games for years now, I can't imagine what being a new player is like.
