isn't really much of a game, and i would be fine with that if you didn't walk so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slow. everything takes a billion years, which made me not want to explore, which I'm sure the game wanted me to. everything in this game takes way too long, this is an hour and a half story, stretched out to five hours. just watch a youtube playthrough so you can speed through the long ass walking

Full disclosure I received this game for free from a laptop deal, but if anything that would make me have an even more unbiased opinion. I also didn't really touch the multiplayer because I got exhausted by the campaign.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ biscuits this game is terrible. Looking at the other reviews makes me feel like I'm an insane man.

To summarize my opinion in one word, Marvel's Avengers is clumsy. It doesn't know what it wants to be; whether that's the weird ass looter-shooter-esc mechanics, the writing, the combat, or the overall sense of polish, it just kinda feels amateurish. The combat is clunky and unsatisfying not helped with the weakass sound design, and terrible misunderstanding of what made the combat this is based off of good (arkham/spiderman). The story doesn't know whether to be serious or ridiculous, so it just kinda ends up being tone deaf. And lastly the phoned in games as a service feel does the whole campaign a disservice. Why the hell would the hulk want to stop smashing for five minutes to figure out a puzzle to get some loot? Answer: he wouldn't. It's constantly wearing a ton of different hats, but never manages to make any of them feel fun or satisfying.

I really really wanted to like this game, but it just kept hitting me over and over with how frustrating of a game this is. Difficultly spikes not even really being mentioned, or how this game is a buggy cluster-♥♥♥♥ sometimes. I'm genuinely a huge fan of the marvel movies, and I thought this could've been great. But without a clear creative vision, it ended up feeling clunky and rushed. Do not buy this game, it is not worth your time.
