Fan of the gameplay, but the recent visual overhaul update has changed much about the artistic vision of the game I bought into. It's so bizarre and visually noisy compared to its original form. They've sanded down every possible edge.

Every geometry must somehow be smoothed.
Everything that can move, must.
Add visual noise.
Clarify textures.

Why even have a PSX filter anymore? This is just A Game now. To me, it's lost sight of how it started, and what many of us had enjoyed. Get the bag, Hakita. Just not from me.

For a game about collecting light, it sure has a lot of dark pattern monetizing.

Adding DRM is always anti-consumer.

A soundboard powerhouse for $5. Exceptional UI design, clear tutorial, extremely user-friendly.

Edit: Important to note, it has no native MIDI controller support. Conversion software is necessary. Also, sounds cannot play over themselves. Still worth the $5, but if they come out with a pro version with these features, I'd happily pay more.

Quite impressive so far- brings shame to the long lost Networking tab of the Task Manager. That, and it makes inbound and outbound rules easy to control. You'll feel like a god, watching all the strings of your connections connect back to you in a simple, easy to understand graph. Shame the upgrades are so expensive, but I'm sure each one is worth it (especially considering their sale at the moment.)

I received this game as a gift, and although it may not exactly be my cup of tea, for what it is, it's quite impressive. Clearly a lot of thought was put in by the developers to make this an entertaining game for its genre (especially considering the price.) If you enjoy turn-based top-down RPG games, definitely give this a go.

As someone who got this in a $4 bundle from the Deep Silver 2 Humble Bundle, I still feel that I've wasted my money.

Here's why:
-90% of the first few chapters' gameplay is just fetchquests. For something of a triple-A title, you'd think gameplay would be less generic.
-It's full of bland, unoriginal characters.
-None of the gameplay is any different than Dead Island (save for a few quality of life improvements, like removing one of the head-stomp animations.)
-You'll be running around a lot, so expect having to mod in a stamina extender.

At best, this game should have been a $10 DLC for Dead Island. Being a stand-alone title, this is just rediculous.
