The game itself is excellent — pure fun and mechanical expressiveness.
However, the lack of a clear roadmap makes it hard to decide whether it’s worth buying or not. Everything that comes out lately is just DLCs selling characters.

Right now, the game only has 4 stages, 6 unlockable characters (4 through leveling and 2 through mastery points, with one of them being absurdly useless), and 8 paid characters — all of which are incredibly strong.
A huge number of weapons are also locked behind DLCs.

It’s sad to see such a promising game taking the simplest route to make quick money.

That said, I had a great time playing it. Still, running through the same 4 stages over and over gets repetitive. The Mastery System genuinely adds something valuable to the experience, and the extra game modes are really good.

Consider buying it only if you’re aware that you’ll likely spend another $5/€5 per DLC (there are 4–5 so far) just to play new characters and weapons — all within the same 4 stages.

(Small Plus: The final bosses of each stage do change after u beat them. So that helps it; I would probably aim to a 36/48 runs before its too repetitive and dull in the normal version of the game.)

First; a few issues:
1.Keyboard follows cam on a bike but not on foot (makes it feel clunky)
2.On the keyboard, allow for "turning sensibility" or "how quickly can you rotate your cam?" (Cause rigth now its a bit hard keeping it stable and smooth
3.Remapping the trick buttons if possible (accessibility) (Going from Keyboard only to MNK back and foward its a no-go)
4.The speed doesn't really feel any faster than the "normal" cycling speed, it just feels harder to turn.
5.Give him a raise because he is too cool, racool--

Second, u migth want to look into:
1.Perhaps add some small minigames with some special characters, or who knows; "levels" per minigame. Nothing complex, just a few 2-3 random levels that keep the fun fresh.
2.A few unlockables. These might go from the raccoon itself, to the bike. (Cool old classic japanese fisherman style beanie!)
3.Perhaps give him a way to have a small shelter/home where he can have his own customizable place!
4.This is an extreme after thougth; but well, let him cook! I want this fella to make some pancakes; he his already very skilled I cant really figure out why wouldnt he be able to flip them and perhaps distribute them in small minigames (or make takeway home delivers) heck it worst case gives small buffs like going quicker or simply looking a bit rounder.
5.Add a place where daily some new characthers appear! Maybe a market, maybe an hotel, who knows; but make it so everyday people have to enter and "do their little daily job tasks" as a cool Raccon Biker, this will add a ton of replayability (and perhaps u can even develop a bit more connection or unlock small tips of background from U or the people u are delivering too!

Third, a tip:
I really love the soundtracks, but "grow it", not just drop a super hiper megal cool solo out of nowhere. But keep the good balance over "Cozy" and "Oh boy get out of my way im about to triple front from the roof"

Fourth, to close it up:
Whatever path you follow is the right one, keep going; keep the soul of this game intact. I hope people start to recognize how special this title is and start supporting it well.

Dei a minha oportunidade e infelizmente, o jogo está incompleto.
1.O Endgame é extremamente repetitivo, quanto mais se sobe o nível mais difícil se nota o próximo (o que por si é normal) porém as missões não escalam, logo a variedade de missões ao chegar ao endgame são singulares.
2.Imenso conteúdo lançado está por trás de paywalls, se vier um update sobre o personagem X vai ser praticamente impossível alguém que não mete dinheiro no jogo adquirir (não por ser grind, mas por não haver opção de adquirir ALÉM de pagar com dinheiro real)
3.Em 8h tinha atingindo o endgame, sem tentar rusha-lo, as histórias externas eram simplesmente sidequests como em qualquer outro jogo, vai de A a B e tenta não morrer ao ser atacado por uma wave infinita que só termina quando chegas num ponto
4.O jogo em si já é pago, mas imenso do conteúdo é preciso esperar... se o jogador que pensou "comprei e já tá" vai se arrepender; existe uma loja rotativa semanal que pode ou não ter a sorte de trazer um navio que a pessoa queira construir... if not? Volta pra semana e talvez consigas (estive há 1 mês á espera e só existiu 1 blueprint pra adquirir)
5.Infelizmente, quase todos os navios estão por trás de paywalls ou rotatividades, ou seja, espera ou problema teu.

A minha sensação é que os DEV's tentaram capitalizar o jogo enquanto perdiam as esperanças nele... O que é pena, o marketing todo faz-te acreditar que é outro jogo que aborda a fantasia bucaneer de braços abertos, sei que irão existir um grande update no futuro; irei checkar e caso se justifique irei dar update a esta review, otherwise; é isto, a menos que esteja free-to-play não recomendo a compra... porque mesmo pagando, o player sente-se um F2P num live service.

Este jogo infelizmente tinha potencial, promovia a fantasia de liberdade em alto mar; porém o facto de tudo ser preciso esperar (para manter os números da playerbase) e quase todo o conteúdo estar por trás de paywalls tornou toda uma ação de "Deixa-me ver no google se vou conseguir comprar isto para simplesmente não investir 3h para no fim ficar a olhar pro ar"
