I, like many, have a ❤️LOVE⚔️HATE💀 relationship with Hunt Showdown, "For many reasons", but what almost all players can agree with is that HUNT is a unique and challenging game. The steep learning curve may be intimidating for some players, but for those who are willing to put in the time and effort, it's highly rewarding Despite its difficulty, "and it is hard". The game is highly addictive and enjoyable, with some of the most realistic sound effects, and 360 audio in any game to date, which only adds to the overall immersive experience.

Unfortunately, The game developers have chosen to prioritize selling DLC, over some other fixes this game desperately needs. The DLC model may be a turn-off for some, but the core game itself is solid and well worth the investment, especially if you're able to get it on sale. I have well over 1000 hours invested in the game, I own all DLC so i am invested in this game, and I try to support CryTek, I just wish they would get better servers. So at least for me, it's clear that Hunt Showdown is a highly engaging and entertaining experience for all those who are up for a challenge like no other game on the market. you will get mad, and sad, but you will grow. I have found so many friends on this game, and I hope it continues to grow. I hope to see you in the bayou!

So...... Well, Its Okay... The word I constantly find myself using when talking about this game is "Clunky"

So cosmetically / historically its like nails on a chalkboard for me because it is covered in Norse / Danish runes.
This is suppose to be Robin Hood okay, Although he'd rob corrupt abbots, monks and bishops, the early Robin Hood was a devout Catholic not some pagan. Even into the reign of James I, the Catholics behind the 1605 Gunpowder Plot to blow up Parliament were called "Robin Hoods" this game takes place in England where Christianity was the held religion.
Which makes it feel like this game was something else entirely that they pasted the "Robin Hood" idea on top of it. the Monk is called a Mystic by other players but a monk by the Npcs? those are not the same thing. I don't know if they knew anything about history or just like covering everything is runes. either way its weird and NOT immersive.

Next I will address the Clumsiness of this game. Both teams are extracting on whatever point is chosen by the team with the chest, so both party's are now fighting for the SAME extraction point. So you don't even have to find the vault or key, just wait for the other team to do 90% of the work and then swoop in last second and take over the extraction. with both players sharing a "progress bar" for the extraction it is really easy to just get undermined the last second after doing all the work.

All of the melee in the game feels like every other bad RPG, you have 3 attacks/attack animations and they don't flow at all. Stun/staggering an opponent is Key. Robin being the only one who can head shot is pretty OP, a whole team of Robbin or JOHN is ridiculous.

Movement is also just clunky feels blocky. Every player should have a roll or doge not just Robin or Marianne.
like if you are within 10ft of the Sheriff he has a black hole pull and your player will stop from a dead sprint past him to turn and wait in a auto animation and stand there while he walks up and kills you. literately wtf stopping and just waits to die.

Over all its the same game every match, you can try to play it out and get the key and chest for exp or you can just ambush the other team after they have done all the work for you. If you can find a team with a headset, it can be fun, would recommend to have a friend to play with since RandOs are hit or miss. I'm going to give it a thumbs up ONLY because there is no Neutral option but it doesn't deserve a thumbs down.

If I had to sum it up in one sentence I would say "It has a lot potential and room for improvement, but as is, its nothing to write home about" I say this as one friend I have already after 1 day of playing feels like he wasted the 60$ to buy the game. I don't share that same feeling but I thought I would include it.
