Not as much content as Crusader King's 2 (with complete DLC) but a fantastic base game. The character models, map and UI look great

The gameplay is pretty good. Overall it's a solid 7.5-8/10 and hopefull there is a sequel because the world design and characters are great

If you are a fan of grand strategy games with roleplay elements in the Middle Ages then this is the game for you. It may seem daunting to learn at first but play along with youtuber's tutorial (I recommend Arumba) and after an hour or two you should have a good enough grasp to start exploring different mechanics on your own.

I have over 500 hours as of this review and I still don't understand all of the little nuances in mechanics. All of the DLC might also seem daunting or confusing, but the base game is fine enough to play. If you want to play as a character that isn't a Western European Catholic then I would recommend looking at each of the DLC and picking one that adds mechanics or characters you'd like to try out.

It is somewhat similar to Europa Universalis, but the focus is on people rather than states. Whenever I come back to this game after a break, it consumes me for at least a straight week. Even in between sessions I think about how I can plot to take over another relam or put one of my children on a throne. What's even better is once you get the gist of the gameplay, there is a Game of Thrones mod (called CK2 AGOT) that is fantastically made and offers even more enjoyment if you ever get bored of Europe, Nothern Africa, the Middle East, or Western Asia.

This game is still fun after all these years. Multiplayer is no longer officially supported, however there are a few programs that can be used to host and play on servers.

The game is fantastic.
PROS:
-The world is full of interesting locations
-The weapon modding system is great and you can personalize any weapon to suit your needs
-Companions are great and will interact with the world on their own
-The side quests are great (Can't say much about the main story as I've barely delved into it)
-Compared to the previous games the combat is spectacular. On its own it is fine
-Bulding your own settlements is fun and addictive
-The music is as good if not better than Fallout 3 and New Vegas and some classics return
-The new Power Armor system makes you feel like a badass

CONS:
-You will encounter bugs
-No easy way to tell what settlers are assigned to what task in your settlements
-Sometimes the dialogue options are ambiguous to what they mean (So far there have only been a few but it is still a con)
-No way to get rid of the annyoing bushes in settlements or scrap things that are partially in the border of the settlement
-Some animations are stiff
-Some glaring performance issues (Especially physics being tied to framerate)

Some of the cons will very likely have mods to fix if they don't already. Take others' and my word and if you love open world RPG games buy this game. If you love the previous entries to this or the Elder Scrolls series you should really buy this game.
