it's a field trip to hell ^-^

-Pros:
-go to hell
-gud grafics (awesome coloring, textures, lighting, etc)
-atmospheric (looks like real hell, i kno bc i live ther)
-if you like doors there's a _hell_ of a lot of them *ba-tish*
-Works/looks/plays better than old version

-Cons:
-that price
-can't play the old version (it had quite a few puzzles/mor stuff; current 1 has none)
-pathetic jump scares where you trip ballz
-too many fuqin doors
-no enemies, monsters or challenges (maybe they'll add some later? idk man)

Thank the puzzle deities; a point-and-click whose puzzles are actually logical!
(This is a VERY easy puzzler, but it has none of the esoteric 'wait 5 minutes, click this object x amount of times, have 3 empty item slots and fart the main theme backwards' rubbish that a lot of pac's do; every challenge can be solved with rationale and observation skills. )

The game has a strange but intriguing atmosphere, decent eccentric music, simple but fluid animation, and (although a little plain) a unique and pleasing art style.

Living characters are where the game truly shines, being lively, compelling and whimsical. (Never before have I felt so emotionally attached to a just-born mutated Tim Burton-esc tentacle apple.)

Even the most meticulous of players can finish this game in 15 minuets or less-It is a brief otherworldly sojourn you should not pass up on!~

((( Hey kids, wanna' see a dead body? c:< )))

The Static Speaks My Name is short, unsettling, eerie, disturbing; you play as a man on his last evening alive. The closer you look the more twisted things get, the harder you look the more you'll truly see what's going on. It makes you fill in the blanks, but its not so abstract that you can't figure it out. It's a psychological true horror that is chillingly believable and it doesn't use cheap tactics to shock or perturb the player.

This game made me more uneasy and made me cogitate more than any other short free to play.....I actually wish it wasn't free, because I really like what the devs did with this and I'd like to support them in making more.

Whether this seems like your cuppa' or not, with the investment of nothing but ten minuets of your time and 66 MB of space there is absolutely no reason not to give this game a chance.~

The short of it:
Have you ever wanted to trespass in a stranger’s house, not to pillage and plunder but to just float from room to room analyzing your surroundings, scrutinizing items and imagining what the lives of the inhabitants must be like?
If so you’re gonna love the feck out of this game!

But if you’re looking for horror, suspense, action, or puzzle-solving then baby, ya’ need to look elsewhere. (*coughcoughAmnesiaCOUGH*)

Pros:
-Go through someone’s house
-Trash the house by throwing sh!t everywhere
-Looks pwetty owo
-Superb voice acting
-Believable characters
-Interesting rooms
-Story is about Lesbians, which was refreshing to see
-90’s time capsule (much nostalgia)
-Fantastic punk music *within* the game, like dayum
-Steggy! ā¤

Cons:
-No challenge whatsoever (You’ll look for a couple of key items, that’s it)
-Lack of puzzles
-Your interaction doesn’t count for much. You can throw stuff and turn lights on/off, that’s it.
-Searching simulator 2013
-Really boring if you’re not into this kind of story-based stuff
-Woulda' been cool to hear about all of the family members problems in depth
-Short (I seriously took my time with this one and finished it in a coupla' hours)
-Way, way, way WAAAAAAAAAAAY too fuu-king over-priced (I know the devs gotta’ eat but for the content that’s offered I feel like it should be ftp. >o<)

My thoughts on this game:
As a gay female with queer-hating parents I probably got a lot more out of this game than someone who falls outside of that spectrum. In some ways it was like seeing my own life personified as someone else, and there were quite a few things that really hit home with me. That being said, when I played the game I felt an intense craving for something that just wasn’t there. I was expecting to be challenged, to have to fill-in-the-blanks myself, to care about the characters for who they were and not just because I could relate to one of them….and I didn’t really find any of this in Gone Home. It was a little different and kind of fun, but it wasn’t particularly satisfying and the story didn’t leave any lasting impression on me.

As for recommending it, I can’t really recommend it as a game. As an interactive story YES, but not as a game, or for its gameplay.

(If this sounds like something you’d be into make sure to wait for a sale and pay no more than a couple bucks for it! Peace! ^o^ ā¤ )
