Okay, here we go. CoD has suffered from bandwagon hate for years. It is "cool" to hate Call of Duty. Everyone does it, you belong to a pretty large group of people if you hate Call of Duty. This kind of toxic hatred is not good for anyone. You dont like it? Okay thats fine. You dont have to go shout it from every rooftop.

How do I feel about this game?

I think its great. I started out absolutely hating it. I played to 25 on PS4 beta. I was a big fan of Black Ops 3 and I (shocking to all you bandwagon haters, I know) actually LOVED infinite warfares multiplayer minus the microtransactions. The actual gameplay itself was glorious, fast paced, skill based and fun. Zombies in it was BY FAR the best zombies experience EVER(Yes, I do remember the Black Ops I and Black Ops II). All of that considered, I ended up really starting to enjoy this Call of Duty.

Lets go back to the beginning of the PS4 beta. Im just starting out and my worst fear is that they gave into the Battlefield crybabys that wanted every first person shooter to be like theirs. Call of Duty isnt Battlefield and before WWII it clearly wasnt trying to be. It was insanely fast paced and had levels of wackiness that rivaled that of the Saints Row series when you look at emotes and some of the camos on guns. So when I saw that this game had divisions and a game mode with a similar layout to Conquest in Battlefield 1, I got incredibly disheartened. However, after playing to max level in the PS4 beta and getting about halfway there on the PC beta, I can safely say that this game is indeed a lot of fun. I still hate the fact that battlefield lovers put so much pressure on Call of Duty to change that they did, because now instead of having two extremely different games, it moreso feels like there is Battlefield 1(Slowmo) and Battlefield 1(normal paced)(normal paced one is CoD:WWII).

So I do wish they made this game just as wacky as the old CoDs, because to me that is the essence of Call of Duty at this point. Everyones stuck in the past. Everyone is nostalgic. No one wants to realize that Call of Duty has changed and evolved past the old days of Call of Duty 2.

To summarize, take the Call of Duty name off of the game. Play it as if it is a new first person shooter. I can guarantee that it wouldnt have Mostly Negative reviews. Bandwagon hate absolutely ruins games. If you hate this game and have played between 20-30 minutes, then I feel bad for you. Dont hate things just to hate things, it will literally end up killing you.

(Oh and Im not even going to address the fact that some people hate this game (with a passion) for not being historically accurate insofar as it has black soldiers, and female soldiers. If that would actually prevent you from playing this game then youre an idiot. That has absolutely no effect on gameplay. If you get mad at that then you HAVE to get mad when medieval RPGs have intricate hairstyles for your character, cause you sure as hell KNOW that wasnt what people were rocking then. Its all for the sake of customization and giving US more customization options.)

Everyone downvoted this game because of the OpenIV controversy. I definitely agree that mods are important and shouldnt be shut down in any way, but I do have to admit Ive had this game for years and never used any mods. I dont have much total playtime because I also owned it on PS3 before the PS4/Xbone/PC version came out and played the hell out of the story mode already.

The story mode seriously is incredible. If there is one gripe I have with this game it is that they pour all their resources into the GTA online(which is no longer an online mode for a GTA game but rather its own entity.) I would love for story DLCs like we got with GTAIV.
