What a wonderful game, it hits the same feelings for me as Journey did and I will walk away from this game remembering it. Beautiful atmosphere, game, and mechanics. Nothing too crazy and yet offers a good enough challenge to keep you invested.

Be. The. Batman.

I remember playing this back when the heat was on about it. Not only did it face criticism for being a side game made by Ninja Theory - a different take on the origins of Dante and Vergil but, it also was stacked against Metal Gear Rising which I did at the time purchase MGR first but later when I got DmC? I was pleasantly surprised. The game has a lot of beautiful things about it to appreciate as sort of this side story about Dante, a new rendition. Not saying it defeats the OG or anything as I am a fan of the other games more but this game is actually really well made and has some cool aspects to it.

Aesthetically it's in my opinion a top stylish game in the franchise. The living breathing world of Limbo really shines through and I adore how the tendrils of that world reach out for Dante. Ominous breathing from the spirits and vines make the atmosphere truly something to think about.

Combat is really well done imho and I enjoy it, if that is all you care about? You should have a good time.

Full assassin fantasy in effect. Do research, investigate, learn your surroundings and approach the target as you see fit by the means of the world around you and your acquired knowledge. Great story and world fleshed out with a very unique twist on the sci-fi genre. Been a favorite of mine since '07.

Batman Arkham Asylum is that perfect game for anyone who grew up with the Animated series, it feels like you're being dropped into the version of that show that grew up with you. From having Paul Dini as the writer to Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamil revising their roles as Batman and Joker, this is the game. This is the one that will forever be burned into my brain.
