Talespire is the best 3D Virtual Tabletop (VTT) available. While it lacks some of the utility of services like DnD Beyond, Roll20, and Foundry in terms of record keeping, character sheets, and compendium information, it is an incredible program for recreating the feeling of using miniatures on a 3D battlemap or terrain. I recommend using another program or service to handle character information and using Talespire purely for combat. When used in that manner, it can't be beaten. In addition, the seats functionality allows game masters to have player slots available to players without requiring multiple different people to purchase it. The seats can be purchased for cheaper than the full program, and they rotate with the game master based on need. Highly recommend.

Best Served Cold is a stunning experience from start to finish. It's brilliantly written, dripping with flavor that pulls you into the world, and beautifully depicted. It's like Coffee Talk meets Ace Attorney, and it's nearly perfect. Here's hoping the developers take us to Bukovie again someday.

Stellar Blade is one of the best action role playing games I've ever played, and it's really nice to look at. The setting, story, soundtrack, and visuals are all excellent. The combat system is one of the most fluid and enjoyable combat systems I've ever engaged with, and the game is generally an absolute joy to play. Did I mention that it's really nice to look at?

A masterpiece. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is an epic adventure from start to finish. I haven't been so invested in the story and characters of a game since CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk and Witcher series, and everything from the visuals, sound design, and music masterfully immerse you in the world of 15th century Bohemia. While KCD1 was good, albeit clunky and a bit niche, KCD2 has smoothed out and improved on many issues from the first game, as well as set itself apart to stand on its own as a beautiful experience. KCD2 has cemented itself as a legend of the RPG genre.

I have been pleasantly surprised. The game is beautiful, the story is interesting so far, there are a lot of dialogue and narrative choices, the combat is excellent, and it runs quite well. I had some performance issues in some areas that were resolved after I installed the newest Nvidia drivers; now I'm getting a smooth 60fps on the High preset at 1440p with DLSS on balanced. I have a 2080 super and an i9-9900k. I've only had one crash, but it was before I finished character creation and even loaded into the game.

The class and skill trees are extensive and the combat is fast-paced, impactful, engaging, and even challenging on the Underdog difficulty (the second to last difficulty, or 4/5). There is a 6th difficulty option that lets you customize different options to have a more tailored experience. Combat is similar to an Arkham style dodge/parry system, with the addition of a Tactical Wheel that pauses the game to let you order party members to attack specific targets or cast specific spells. There is also a host of status effects that can be applied and spells from different party members that can be combined to do extra damage or achieve additional effects. The boss fights are also excellent.

The class design is fantastic. There are three primary classes: Warrior, Mage, and Rogue. Each class has a sizable skill/talent tree and has three different specializations to choose from. I am playing a primarily melee rogue and the integration of melee and ranged abilities and attacks feel incredibly smooth and fluid and effectively conveys the agility and dexterity of the class. I actually look forward to finding enemies because of how fun it is to fight in the game.

Party members that accompany you on missions and quests do not have individual health or mana bars. Rook (the main character) is the only party member with health and resources in combat. Party members fight and use abilities on a simple cooldown system. You can improve your relationship with your companions by adventuring with them and making certain dialogue and narrative choices, which will increase their Bond over time. As their bond increases, they gain skill/talent points that can be used to customize and specialize them.

Weapons and armor can be upgraded in both rarity and stats throughout the game. I am still not exactly sure how the system works, but I believe it is as follows: locating two of the same weapon type will upgrade the weapon to the next rarity. So, finding two white level sabers would upgrade to a single green saber. Further, the stats of that weapon can then be upgraded in exchange for materials at the home base/hub.

The character creator is probably the best I've seen in any RPG. The level of customization is significant and you really have the ability to achieve the exact look you're going for if you're willing to put in the time. Additionally, the hair options and hair physics are probably the best I've seen in any game. It feels like each individual strand it independently modeled.

As far as issues with "wokeness" go, I haven't run into anything yet that seems overly forced, out of place, or political. Questions of the main character's status as Transexual, Non-binary, etc. are not obtuse or in your face. I believe there is a companion character later in the game who is very forward about such issues, but I haven't met them yet.

The world is rich and interesting. It's supported by a substantial codex system that provides additional character information and lore about the world of Thedas and prominent figures in it for those that enjoy reading such things.

Overall, I am very much enjoying my experience so far, and am looking forward to continuing the game. If I run into any glaring issues as I progress, I might update this review. As it stands, I prefer Veilguard to both Inquisition and Dragon Age 2. My current enjoyment might be comparable to Origins, but it's been so long since I've played Origins that it's hard to say.

The only good bug is a dead bug and I don't want to live forever, so let's get in there and kill 'em all.

Super fun game that is a nice combination of cooperative, objective based, horde shooting. The base building is fun and innovative and the Starship Toopers flavor is brilliantly executed. The performance is pretty good, the shooting is enjoyable and satisfying, and the graphics are pretty nice. I definitely recommend this game.

I've never seen the movies or read the books, but Hogwarts Legacy successfully transported me to a fantastical world of wizardry and strange beasts. I'm quite in love.

While there are some performance issues (mainly present in brief, extremely low frame rates or stuttering when loading certain areas or cutscenes), the game mostly runs well and looks gorgeous.

The combat, while initially appearing to be shallow, is quite fun. For me at least, it reminds me of the Arkham Knight series, but with magic. This includes tons of spells to bring to bear, and at almost 17 hours in, I still haven't learned them all.

Finally, the world itself is a character in a way. The masterfully constructed grounds of Hogwarts, as well as the surrounding highlands of Scotland, truly make you feel like you are a young student in a fascinating world brimming with magic to be mastered and secrets to be uncovered.

I'm playing on a 2080 super and an i9-9900k.

The planet cracked before the guard did so now I'm addicted to slaughtering heretics for the Emperor.

The performance is mediocre at best, though it borders on poor, and the game still has its share of bugs. Despite this, I am enjoying Darktide immensely and am very excited for the future. If you like Vermintide 2, you'll probably love this one too.
