I have struggled to enjoy tactical shooters for a handful of reasons. Being very bad at them is not a deterrent (check my hours in RTS games for proof) but something didn't click with pacing and gunplay. Spectre Divide is now one of the exceptions. The gunplay is still a world away from my desired style, but it is a definitely an improvement for the genre (for me). Further, as I'm not the best shooter, adding a layer of strategy with the second body is a massive boost to my experience. I can outsmart someone before I can out shoot them lol.

My only complaint is match length. I would cut it in half and then I think it'd be that much better. That totally could just be a me thing, considering I don't play similar titles often. If you enjoy shooters but typically bounce of things like CS and Valorant, check to see if it clicks.

Long overdue to play this but I'm so glad I came around to it. Absolutely worth your time and I can't wait for the sequel. I'd love to have more adventure thrillers like this that don't have monsters or combat.

The jank sweet spot. Impressive writing and structure for side quests.

I've tried out many Total War games but never really dedicated the time needed to get the full experience. I played the Dynasty Warriors games a lot growing up and grew to love the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, so this seemed like a great opportunity to really dig in. I've done that and I'm really glad I did.

Total War: Three Kingdoms is a treat for the eyes and the campaign is a blast to play, though I am hoping the developers release some updates that fix late game play and player resources. Despite small issues in that regard, this is one my favorite recent releases hands down.
