Oh pulsar, how to talk about you?
Pulsar is a fantastic game, despite the fact that it is a terrible game. Allow me to explain.

A lot of Pulsar is janky. The interpersonal combat and the ship-to-ship combat are both kinda bad. The graphics definitely give it an amateur feel. It lacks polish, and if it were any other game, these problems alone would make this a game to miss.
Despite all that however, Pulsar is quite incredible – it survives on concept alone. In pulsar, you (and up to 4 friends) are the crew of a ship, travelling the galaxy. There is a story, and indeed many factions, each with their own quests – but the point of it is really to make it your own adventure. Will you go to the space casino and gamble for the data fragment? Will you take part in the ion races, fitting your ship out to be as fast as possible for the chance to win that cool new reactor? Perhaps during the final race you will overheat your current reactor and have to eject it out the back, in the process also destroying all your competition? Dare you attempt a blind warp jump, and fight the horrors of the void? If that sounds at all cool to you, then pulsar may be a diamond in the rough. Be warned though: I don’t think I could play this as a single player experience. The roleplaying really is better with friends.

Very good game - the first title in a long while to make me go "just one more run".

Mysterious and Lovecraftian. A compelling narrative, a distinctive art style, and a killer score. Whats not to love?

Wargame is a tactical/strategic command game where you have to get your army (usually that of a specific nation) to fight and kill the other army. I have over 200 hours in this game, after having it for just over a year. To sum it up briefly, it is very good at what it aims to do - I recommend it as a modern, combined arms strategy game.

On its own, the campaign is substantial; and I am assured by my friends that it is very good. However, none of my 300 hours are actually in the campaign. Where it really shines is in the multiplayer - specifically with friends. On top of the hours of building decks, planning strategies and fighting each other, what comes after (chatting about it and talking about what the best units are) is very rewarding.

The base game is very expansive (at least on the "bluefor" side) and on its own is very good. however, should you wish to get your hands on some very fun toys, the Israeli DLC is huge and very good (probably the best nation pack included at the moment), and most of the other nation packs are also quite good, with a few exceptions. For me and my friends, its very hard to get bored of this game.

My only bug bears are in terms of user experience. this game is somewhat dated now, and as much flack as steel division (the game this studio went on to make next) gets, it certainty has a much nicer UX on the battlefield. Your guess is as good as mine as for what sight lines really are in this game. It also runs like a pig when there are a lot of units of the field, especially on older or less powerful computers. But, as long as your computer isn't falling apart or a Chromebook you should have no problems.

On the whole, though it has a few problems (like really stupid air pilots) this game is still definitely worth a look if you like strategy games or combined arms tactics.
