Unfortunately the 2 hours refund windows is not enough review and realize how bad the maps are, how egregious the grind is for some things among other problems. So you'll not be able to refund if you don't heed the warnings in reviews. Here are the problems I have that will either not be fixed or it will take several seasons to fix:

Maps:
All maps except for a couple are garbage. They're small infantry maps that tunnel you into meatgrinder areas. Even the larger ones force you into tight choke-points. No space to sneak around with a squad to ambush a point. You get shot to your side or in the back constantly. Airspace is non-existent. If you're a jet/heli player, you'll have a miserable time most likely. Even firestorm has been cut up and nerfed heavily in size. They want the call of duty audience, clearly. Nothing wrong with liking COD, but holy jesus, must it be brought over here? Season 1 dropped and the first new map might be the worst one yet. Absolutely abysmal. Also, no naval combat. There are literally NO water vehicles. You can probably fit half of the BF6 maps combined into BF4 Wake Island. Not even joking. My only hope is they'll start porting the all-time great maps into BF6, but even then, they'll probably get the firestorm treatment, which I suspect they might. It's going to be a huge let-down.

Battle Royale
Quarter this ♥♥♥♥ off and keep it separate. Why do half the weeklies have to be tied to a mode that historically has nothing to do with battlefield franchise and most long-time bf fans don't want. You want to have a battle royale? Fine. Create a separate launcher/game, quarantine it. Don't try to force-pump life support from the main game's playerbase. They had to tie it to the main game. And looking at the BR map, seems like more thought and care for mapping got put into the battle royale mode. You can level buildings in it. Now you can argue that "hey, leveling everything like in BC2 leads to a boring landscape that's not fun. Sure. But there's a middleground. Maps, their size, and the levolution in BF4 are lightyears ahead of BF6. I don't know how the franchise regressed so bad.

They'll push you to get nickel and dimed:

And of course, gotta create incentive to buy skins/unlocks. I bought a 70 euro game. Why do I get bombarded with "BUY THIS, BUY THAT, UPGRADE THIS" popup spam on every game launch. ♥♥♥♥ off. The greed knows no bounds. They release a battlepass, which, of course, has a paid version. Whatever. But if you calculate the unlocks point/xp requirements, you'll probably need to pour north of 150 hours of proper gameplay to unlock stuff. I guarantee you that they'll not keep old battlepasses active à la Helldivers2. So you better grind and grind or become a pay piggie if you want the goodies. Double-dipping ♥♥♥♥ needs to stop. At least it's mostly cosmetic, and despite personally disliking this type of egregious monetization, I wouldn't be too upset except this leads into the following -

Aesthetics

First batch of skins were already going against the "grounded" aesthetic of battlefield. Green/Orange/etc. colour-vomit skins. Looking at them feels like they're operators gearing up for a McDonald's play-pen airsoft shootout. It's battlefield. I want to be soldier #56 shooting at other military nobodies in a large scale conflict. Have your visually grounded, realistic faction aesthetic and stick with it. This just feels like they're trying to boil you like a frog, slowly, and before you realise you'll be shooting and being shot at by rick and morty. After a lot of criticism online, they reduced the colors on some of them, but a good bit of them still look like a goofy guy that is trying too hard to look tacticool at an airsoft match. If this end here, fine, but I suspect in a few seasons you'll see much, much worse. Not limited to soldier skins.

Grind enforcement

Portal and custom games got super nerfed exp-wise. Have to force people into the store to buy progression boosts. If you want to spend a week ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around in portal, you'll get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in rewards. Not talking about cosmetics, talking about weapon unlocks.

TL;DR

-Maps make or break most of the game and the maps are garbage.
-They try really hard to force you to pay for convenience.
-BR tied to the main game. I feel like it's indirectly negatively impacting the main game.
-Aesthetics will probably be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as witnessed by season 1 skins so far. Slippery slope. Can't wait to play as Invincible, from the famous show Invincible, in season #7. Do a little fortnite dance instead of t-bagging on my kills.

Bones of the game are good. But I fear that the maps and the other stuff will be the death of this game by a thousand cuts. When they said grounded, I didn't realise they meant they want to crash into the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ground.

Best single player game that isn't even entirely single player (if you wish for coop or pvp).
68 hours in and I still have new, massive areas to explore, the content just doesn't stop.
It's all well polished, too.
Actual 10/10 if a game can be 10/10.

EDIT:
Still true.

Would recommend. Bioshock/SystemShock feel. Solid gameplay. Really good map. Aesthetics are also good.

But I do have to mention that the ending is rather abrupt and kinda bad. It just kinda ends and you'll be left thinking "what?". I can't overstate how bad the final act is. So go in expecting a really good game, but with a garbage final act and you'll be good.

Also NPCs are kinda badly coded. There's a room where you get bombarded by like 10 voicelines at once because you walked in proximity. And the audio quality of NPC voices (non-radio) is really, REALLY bad. Like I can record better voicelines on my $40 headset bad.

Other than that, solid title.
