This game don't deserve GOTY. Give it the GAME OF THE DECADE award!

It's late 2022 and you haven't played Dead Cells yet? Here's what you can expect:

• One of the best roguelikes out there, with exploration encouraged due to it being a metroidvania platformer;
  
• The game rewards you for fast pace combat, but you can also take your time and play it safe. Overall easy to learn and hard to master;
  
• Great combat, the attacks have weight behind them and it never feels unfair (although it's not easy);
  
• The souls-like tag is not exclusive to the roll action. The way the narrative is told in an indirect and intriguing manner is a part of this;
  
• Great replayability. The NG+ mechanic reminds me of Dark Souls 2 and how it changes the base game;
  
• Great visual style. Every place has a easily distinguished themes and enemies;
  
• Runs on a potato.

Overall, this is one of the best games ever in my book (41h on record do not make it justice, since I used to play it a lot on Nintendo Switch). And after all this time I keep getting back to it.

This game is great. Awesome visuals (Tim Burton-like) and creative mechanics. While I encountered a couple of bugs during the Tower DLC, the experience was smooth most of the time (I mean, it's less than 4 hours of gameplay).
I'm interested to see what the devs release next! Buy it in a promo.

TL;DR: buy it if you are into atmospheric beautiful games. The best game in this genre I've ever played

This game surprised me in many ways I didn't expect.
It has such simple mechanics and controls, but the way they interact with the world is too harmonious.
The world building is amazing. It tells you the story behind it, be it in the details or the monuments you encounter
Also, I got really surprised when I noticed that the other characters you encounter are actually players going about their journey (I took a while there hehe).
This game is such a unique experience, you'll just have to try to understand.

TL;DR: Buy it in a sale if you like the genre. Experiment with the controllers and refund it if it's too bad for your taste

Okay, I will be brief. The concept of the game is too good. Reminded me of The Wolf Among Us (10/10 game, btw).
The graphics look great (maybe not optimized enough from a perfomance side).
The atmosphere of the city is great! The story seems intriguing, yet I haven't finished it.
So why a negative review? The controls. The controls and the bugs encountered.
I'm playing on a controller and I'm suffering with the awkward movement through the world. I would dare to say that 10% of my playtime is due to weird interactions between movement and interactibles in the enviroment.
Also, 10% of my playtime is due to bugs, mainly black screen and some crashes. You can add 10% more due to bad loading times (playing on a HD doesn't help it either) and you got yourself a mess of a gameplay.
This game got me tired of playing it on several different days, and that's not a good sign.
