Now I remember why I never played more than 20 minutes of this game. They front-load learning ALL the game mechanics up front. You have you learn like 35 things in just a few minutes or you die. It's absolutely fatiguing. Whoever came up with this experience is really ignorant, and obviously knows nothing about game design or the human brain.

How are they still selling this title? It's unplayable. Soooo many bugs. Everything is constantly glitching, and it's been that way for years.

Fun game. Requires teamwork and patience. If you have both of those, this is for you.

Not very good. Sloppy. Unfinished. Chaotic and exhausting.

(Edit) after 2 sessions, the game will no longer launch. Getting my money back.

Every time I leave Riverwood to go to Whiterun (early game) the game freezes my entire PC and I have to restart. It happens when I get near a moose.

Valheim is amazing. This is what PC gaming is all about.

This thing is crazy buggy, WTF.

Edit: The game is too buggy and low fps to play properly. The characters are surprisingly bland as well...

Well, I waited a few months for patches, upgraded my PC, game back to give this thing another try. The bugs are mostly gone, so now I can actually play the game. And.... it's boring AF. This might be the worst PC game I've ever played. The story is completely uncompelling, the characters are shallow and cliche. The world is supposed to feel real and immersive but everything is so fake and non-interactive that it's just an overwhelming mosaic of meaninglessness. I can't emphasize enough how much I dislike this game. It's not worth 1 second or 1 dime.

Even for an Alpha game, they've got guts charging $50 for this. 4/5 matches end in server crash. Combat and movement are full of bugs. It's a hot mess. WAY too early for Alpha release, let alone for 50 bucks. I hope for their sake they fix everything quickly.

Although I really appreciate Ninja Theory's mission, and the overall creativity and beauty of this game, I would not recommend it. As a video game experience, it falls short. The puzzles aren't rewarding, and just feel like chores. The combat is very simple, not much leveling up to be had. There's little-to-no interactivity with the environment. It plays out like the plot of a movie, but an 8-hour movie that passes in real-time. As a sensory experience I think they've done a fantastic job, and because of this I teetered between a thumbs-up and a thumbs-down review. I'm sticking with a negative review though. I would recommend watching a shortened play-through video of the game to experience the best parts. The gameplay was so tedious and half-baked to the point where it took away from the message and story, which is the most important part.
