Like most people say.
A somewhere in the middle solution.
It was a good shot to try to repalce the mouse and keyboard and a controller in "one controller".
As a controller the layout is not the best, so I always grab back to my old USB Logitech controller if I need one.
And typical keyboard mousegames can profit of the steam controller but fast action games or difficult so I prefer keyboard/mouse.

It's not a bad controller but as I bought it to play in the coach I would say: not recommended as I don't really use it. I always connect my keyboard/mouse for fast action en my logitech controller for controller games ...
