Welcome to Day Z...Is something you've probably heard numerous times if you've ever played or heard anyone speak about DayZ. There are two different 'versions' of DayZ, The mod. Which is fully feautured, better optimized and is quite honestly what the standlone wishes it was. Sadly however it's not, Hell it's not even close no where near it. However they are trying, They've been working on the standalone fairly hard from what I can tell, After the last major patch the game has become much more entertaining and with the hope of a cooking system, base building and vehicles plus a multitude of other features on the 'to-do' list millions of people have already gotten in on the SA version of the game.

My biggest issues with the SA version of DayZ are that zombies can somehow run though walls, hit you from the bottom floor of a 4+ story building. There are so many bugs/exploits and everyone uses them. People glitch though walls, People can lean and see through walls essentially taking away any and all skill that would be necessary to actually get through combat situations alive completely out of the equation. There are so many hackers it's seriously pathetic, nobody is sure why the developers chose to use BattleEye when there's nothing but problems, issues, constant updating, people continually getting booted from server the annoying messages that BattleEye is being a derp and can't figure out what it's supposed to do. The connectivity and the desynchronization issues alone are enough to make any normal person quite playing, yet somehow it manages to make you come back for more.

The level of immersion is this Alpha, as impossible as it may sound is of the highest level. Almost every fire fight you and your friends engage in can be an adrenaline pumping fast paced tactical nightmare and at the same time one of the best and the funnest gaming experience you've ever felt. I love DayZ SA I just can't play it anymore until they get it at least kind of up to the mod. I know someday it will get there but as for me, I'll see you on the Mod.
