OK so I have to give a thumbs up simply because it gave us steam.
I remember playing this for the first time 20 years ago and... I still don't get it, whats the big deal? Physics? The engrossing game play where you walk in a completely straight line from start to end? The cat vomit color pallet? The protagonist who seems to be a robot that can hold guns? The fact that every civilian in city 17 knows who you are although you were a random scientist in a top secret science lab? The "deep lore" that never pays off? The fascinating characters like... Eli and...

Doom 3 was better.

Thanks for Steam though!

So I've played this game for over 140 hours now and I still want to carry on. The freedom in this game is so much fun, and the side quests are actually interesting.

Great Story, I love that like 3 and 4, you're not sure if you're doing the right thing and the end is pure bleak misery porn and I love it.

The random encounters and heat meter are really fun and having the freedom to do whatever the hell you want is amazing and really gives it replayability. Very addictive, not "addicting", kids, so please stop saying it and learn english.

Your pets and companions are so well written I felt real heart break when someone would die.

The DLC's are also worth every cent.

The graphics though. I mean it runs fine on my potato on High or Ultra, but why does it look so different to the other far cry's? It just doesn't look.... right? I think the peak was Kyrat in 4. Don't get me wrong it looks good... just not like far cry.

And not even a cameo from Hurk :'(

But I love it. Its like open world crack.

This is a great game. I'm so sad I listened to all the sheep and took 7 years to play it.

First things first, it is NOT the original trilogy. It is a game set in the same universe, 680 years in the future in a different galaxy. Things are different. You play not a warrior but an explorer.

This is what got me into it, I've done the action thing, lets see what else this universe can bring us. Liara and Femshep will always have my heart but this is NOT that game. A lot of people don't seem to understand that.

This game is a beautiful example of world building. Or should I say Universe building. I was fascinated by the exploration of an entire new galaxy, and that nobody even knows what happened with the reapers is a great way to keep it canonical.

The game play is fast and you often don't feel like a you're old spectre bad ass, but i like that, there are so many mysteries to uncover from the literal opening moments.

The worlds are stunning and the crafting and upgrades are fun as hell, not to mention the apex missions to add little strategic twists now and then. I feel like every character you speak to has either a mission or something so interesting to say, adding to the lore.

In short. I'm sad that gamers have become entitled pricks who don't want anything to change, change is good people, or just go play fortnight for the rest of your adult life. And because of those gamers we'll never know what could have been in the Andromeda trilogy.

I mean the most popular AAA games today are literal remakes of fantastic older games. WE HATE CHANGE,

My hope is that one day people realise how multiplayer has destroyed good games, I mean the game Bioware did after this was Anthem, trying to hop on the multiplayer game as a service ♥♥♥♥. And they imploded.

Give new things a chance fellow gamers, and stop listening or caring what you tube and your friends say.

10/10 - I saw peebee's nipples. job done.

I've played about 500 hours of this game, up until now mostly on a pirate ship, and it is seriously one of the most tragic cases of missed opportunity.

This "game" (which is more entertaining than most films and series today) and its narrative are unmatched in emotion, acting, writing and story. BUT because everyone wants to play multiplayer and live service games now, don't lie you do, this game just went unnoticed completely. This game in a nutshell is what is wrong with games today.

I have never played a game where i know everyone's names, care about the story lines so much, and they finally got open world RIGHT! On one mission to just go clear a camp I got sidetracked, hunted some animals, cleared out some nests, tracked footprints to a hostage, found a horde and took it out... and then after 5 hours I got back to my original mission. This is the epitome of what an open world is supposed to be. Alive.

I'm heartbroken that we'll never get a sequel because... money. But its great fun after all these years still diving into the art book, or listening to the podcast. For a game that apparently bombed it has a massive following, and I know at this point its too late ever get a sequel. EA will buy the rights and in ten years we'll get a remake in unreal 8 with loot boxes and co op and PVP.... yay...

Everyone wants to complain about games being shallow and boring and ♥♥♥♥ these days, its because we ignored games like this, and had to play the latest multiplayer trend which are just never ending cash machines.

Single player games will always be superior because they stand the test of time.

And for some reason I cry every time I leave lost lake and jack the dog. Oh that puppy :'(

First of all I own all of the original games on origin, but the dlc don't work anymore, so to get this from a friend of mine is like the ultimate comfort food.

I would play this trilogy through at least twice a year, other than Dark Souls 3, nothing comes close to this game for me.

Maybe I should cry about EA doing this or that, but honestly I couldn't give a ♥♥♥♥. This game is and always will be one of the best games ever made. The care and love the devs put into it shows with every interaction, and though it gets a bit janky sometimes, thats just life. I'm so glad they got rid of the multiplayer aspect as it was pointless and nobody who loved the games really cared.

At the end of the day its bitter sweet knowing that we'll never get experiences like this again. People just want shallow multiplayer ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that leaves no lasting impression within 2 years. I care for every squad member in my team, and a little more than care for Liara... and because people to this day still cry about the ending, they butchered the IP with Andromeda, hoping to satisfy children who need quick endorphin rushes as apposed to incredibly deep lore and genuine feelings.

Don't really care what the haters say, this, right here, was and always will be the perfect game.

10/10. Perfect.

I should go.
