While this game is fun, these DEVS keep making nonsensical decisions and lose focus on what matters. Performance is OK, lag is terrible because it’s still p2p, and now they have introduced the Ronald McDonald effect, where everyone is wearing concrete clown shoes and just stomping everywhere. While I appreciate that they were such a small team, they are not clearly making coherent decisions to make the game better and to grow the audience. Zombies, I get it, but the devs have a gold mine on their hands, and they are letting it slip through their fingers. With that being said, this game is going to fail, plain and simple, while another crew is going to take the concept and run with it. I hope they do well in their future endeavors, but not everyone is a COD kid focused on zombies. Pay attention and bring us a legit tactical shooter, look at Ready or Not, and try at least to expand the game beyond a paintball shooter. I will say the sound and somewhat original movement are great.

Probably one of the better games out atm. I am not sure about the endgame, but 18 hours in and I am still grinding and my inventory is constantly full. Solos can be very chill and will more than likely work with you instead of just instantly ganking you and your gear. Be sure to be vocal to make allies. At the end of the day it's no MEGABONK, however, it's well worth the price. For those who play Hunt Showdown, this is a nice change of pace, and you will most likely enjoy this game.

While the game is fun, you cannot turn off cross-play and there are no dedicated servers. Paying $70 to only play against controllers with aim assist and less recoil is silly (yes this is proven). I know people can play with controller on PC with the same options, however, it's still goofy to cater to consoles constantly and expect me to pay this new premium pricing without basic features. I'll grab it on sale.

A really good Indy game, coop or single player is fun. Mountain resets/changes every 24 hours to keep it challenging and repayable. Hopefully more content is added in the near future as far as gadgets and skins goes.

Overall, when it comes to PVE it's a decent game. However, it’s meant for PvP, and this is where it falls flat, and the Devs seem not to care that China is ruining the game and don't plan on region locking any time soon. Do not pay full price for this game; wait for a sale. It has a ton of potential but as the saying goes: You can crap in one hand and wish in the other.

Crappy aspects:

1. Chinese players cheat/disconnect
2. Almost guaranteed to have at least 1 player leave each round.
3. The line of sight is bad. If you don’t believe me, zoom in when you get a unit in the trees or just on a road. It can be a flat surface, and it will randomly cut off angles in your line of sight. The implementation of the line of sight doesn’t make sense and seems to be a bad copy pasta of Warno.
4. Map design isn’t great, especially when it comes to helicopters. Helicopters can’t see over hills because, as we all know, they only fly 100ft off the ground.
5. Random units like infantry will be god tier with their health when it comes to bombs. Anti-infantry cluster bombs will do little damage even if dropped perfectly aligned at the enemy target. If infantry is in a small building or house, they can survive direct hits from multiple cruise missiles. Some armored can be very similar in health. (No tank is surviving a JASSM)
6. Going back to helicopters, their gunners seem to just draw outlines of infantry. Random AA troops can take 20mm rounds all day so if you only have one chopper it’s screwed. ANY small arms can chew through choppers if they are too close, which I get for LMGs or even some assault rifles but a downed pilot with a MP5 9mm is shooting down my damn Apache or Super Cobra!?!

Fun Aspect:

1. Comp stomps are fun with friends, AI does cheat at higher difficulty, but that is to be expected.
2. Patriot and AA systems can be fun to watch.

The new map and update are amazing. Ui is annoying but I have gotten used to it pretty quick and I'm sure it will change for the better. However the game play itself is better than ever. I initially started it up after the update and didn't even check the graphics settings and it looked incredibly better than before on just high with constant 144fps with a 7900xtx. Switched to Ultra and it looked even better with some FPS dips here and there but nothing that effects a fight.

The new map sets a new standard for Hunt. The elevation changes and amount of spots to fight, retreat, and set up ambushes is great! Don't get complacent and/or tunnel visioned because I'm that guy with a bow staring at you and your teammate from the trees. "Be one with the bush." I am very excited to see how they update the old maps as the old game just feels flat compared to this new map.

If you are a new player don't let the crappy UI deter you as stated above the game play is amazing. All of these review bombs, while their frustrating opinions might be somewhat valid, are just knee jerk reactions so they insta review bomb. Now this sort of worked for Hell Divers 2 to have the DEVs kick it into high gear but I don't think it's close to the same situation. Me and my buddy played all weekend and admittedly just complained about the UI but as soon as we got in game all was forgotten. Hunt DEVs just earned themselves another $25 in DLC from me for the update.

Awesome game. Started with a buddy then a we got a third, 2 hours later we got to the first checkpoint! Needs some sort of public shaming added to the game. "God D*****, Zivenox!"

Would be super fun with a group. However, I wouldn't buy this at all unless you are just wanting to play the base PvE game atm and even then the AI are kind of dumb bullet sponges. Shooting AI in the face takes up to 3 shots unless you have an ACOG to tap them at distance. They also do not react to bullets hitting them even at full auto and will sometimes just easily return fire and insta kill you.

- Damage is really bad at the moment and PvP feels like someone from Tarkov sitting in a bush for 20 minutes after you dump a mag into them then they two tap you later.

- Even maxed out the game is also really freaking blurry and lighting needs a revamp. I haven't had performance issue as others have stated but I have a 7900xtx.

- Sound needs a lot of work. Guns sound weak and the sound stage seems way off with distance. When sneaking it sounds like i am slowly stomping my foot as hard as I can.

I'm going to give it a thumbs up but DO NOT buy this game unless you just want to support the DEVs for a decent starting point. This game has a lot of potential but with EA we all know how that can end up. If you put a ton of time in this game early on you might get jaded with it. I recommended to a friend to give it a year.

Great game with a ridiculous amounts of bugs and crashes. It just makes it not fun when you lose everything after 20+ minutes and the stratagems refuse to pick correctly when you rejoin (if you can even rejoin). Wait a few months for the obvious sale coming or patches at the least as this feels like an early access launch.
