An absolutely fantastic game, with construction elements of Factorio, an RTS like Supreme Commander, an action-RPG like Diablo and Tower Defence. I cannot highly recommend this game enough.

There is huge variety in the method within which you play, focusing on your character (Mech) itself or the bases you build. You can opt for melee, ranged, a huge variety of weapons for both, or mix both, one in each hand or dual-wielding. Then there is equipment and abilities. Huge variety. Huge replayability. Very enjoyable.

Graphics 9/10 - (Simply gorgeous. From the weather to the environments to the bioluminescent creatures. Everything has a Starcraft 2 sort of themed art-style but its own unique spin)

Audio - 7/10 - (Some more variety in a select few areas could use improvement, but what is there is good. The music is decent but fairly forgettable and doesnt stand out. Melee is extremely impactful. Guns sound powerful. Explosions are a bit mild but the other miscellaneous sounds, from construction to the creatures is excellent)

Gameplay - 8/10 - (A wonderful mix of genres blended excellently. There are some cheese strategies or ways that you can be stonewalled but they are extremely hard to come by or otherwise you have the option not to. There is a huge variety of environments and random RNG events that occur, creature attack waves, things to research and upgrade, loot to find or craft like in Diablo and unique things to discover on your own)

Replayability - 10/10 - (I have played the game from start to finish on every difficulty, Easy, Normal, Hard and Brutal. It is simply fun and there are different ways to go about your business and building your base(s) from map to map, mission to mission and "quest" to "quest")

Technical Support / Bugs - 8/10 - (I have only encountered a very rare, select few bugs. None of them game breaking. The game can slow down quite a bit regardless of your computer specs when several thousand enemies are on screen at once, or if you have built-up the ENTIRE map, but that is to be expected and not needed even on Brutal difficulty)

Once you've beaten the game the first time you do know what to expect, but there may be entire branches of the research tree you hadnt seen before or if you simply enjoy the core gameplay loop, there is much fun to be had.

Early Access Review
If the TV series Supernatural was a Game and Australian. You bloody rippa~!

A fantastic game with a deep, brooding and forboding atmosphere that works excellently with the overall theme. You are a hunter, gearing up and deciding what tools to bring for semi-sandbox choose-your-missions gameplay. Consulting your book of lore for information regarding the foes you face, the environment you are set to explore and piecing together clues (Hellsigns) found during the mission help you identify threats, gather as loot, are utilized as crafting materials and provide environmental clues toward objectives, progression or even bosses.

Gameplay is tactical yet fast paced. Weapons are varied and enemies respond accordingly to both direct attacks and traps with the emphasis being on you to bring the right tool for the job, hence planning and the feeling of becoming an accomplished Hunter through your personal experience.

A game with a ~lot~ of potential and promise. Definitely a worthy buy even in its currently early state.

Be the Australian Dean Winchester. Kill some Spooks and hit the Bar.

Once a beloved game by many. Now read the EULA. Automatic negative review, regardless of how good the base game is.

Overwhelmingly Negative Review

Melee-focused FPS game. Medieval Left 4 Dead with some RPG mechanics.

> I would like to love Vermintide, I really would. I love the Warhammer Universe and the aesthetics, art and design of many creatures, items and environments would otherwise be beautiful in a grim-dark setting, if not for the overwhelming number of bugs, gameplay issues, balance concerns and general unpleasantness of play.

The Developers have not only ignored issues from the previous title, but exacerbated them greatly in the sequel and made no efforts to address them, even through multiple Alpha and Beta tests before final release.

Negatives :
- The game looks absolutely NOTHING like the preview screenshots, even on maximum settings at 1920x1080 resolution.
- Extremely choppy frame-rate issues at random in specific areas of specific maps.
- The most annoying, hateful and obnoxious videogame character of the last 10 years (The Elf).
- Severe balance issues. Kruber as a whole is massively underpowered compared to every other character with instant-kill homing missiles, unlimited ammo, wide-sweeping flamethrowers or armor-cleaving weapons, none of which Kruber has.
- Many enemies animation-cancel into seperate attacks, throwing the idea of acknowledging enemy attack patterns out the window.
- Many enemies can carry through an attack, sometimes without any animation from them, hitting straight through full Stamina shield blocks, despite the enemy also being shoved, knocked back or clipping through walls.
- Many Special Enemies spawn outside the map and can attack from outside the map, preventing player retaliation.
- The obnoxious Elf is present in 99% of games and despite being such an overwhelmingly annoying character, is often played by equally bothersome griefing players, toxic trolls or otherwise unpleasant, abusive, tryhard players.
- Huge issues with talents, passive bonuses and item descriptions. For example, some simply dont work at all. Some dont work when paired with a certain item. Some only work when paired with a certain item. None of which is described.
- Many skills and abilities simply do not work. At all.
- Extreme focus on Rush-Rush-Rush gameplay, similar to L4D. No time to admire the scenery or level whatsoever.
- Pointless platforming jump puzzles in an FPS game for mandatory loot-boosting items, with extremely wonky player movement, invisible walls and oversized collision hitboxes.
- Loot Boxes
- Loot Boxes are pointless until your character is maximum level at 30. Then you open them all at once for maximum loot benefit given the items they give you are dependant on when you open them.
- Extreme loot RNG. Greatly favors giving you 3x rubbish items even in highest quality boxes.
- Each Character has 3 sub-divisions of class. Many of which are ultimately useless and / or severely underpowered, further enforced by a VERY strict meta.
- Difficulty is wildly inconsistent. You can play a mission on Champion with absolutely no difficulty whatsoever. Then due to the AI director, you can play on Recruit difficulty and have it throw multiple Specials, Bosses, Enemy Waves AND not spawn in any supporting healing items or ammunition.
- Massive issues with texture pop-in even within 5m of the thing you are looking at.
- Having SSAO turned on reduces the entire game to a blurry mess.
- Huge issues with FXAA on any x2, x4, x16 setting. Causes severe model distortion, clipping issues and visual artifacts.
- Exceedingly poor and extremely unresponsive Customer Service / Developer Support
- Due to the entire game revolving around loot, 90% of the available maps are pointless given the Meta has already been established and people run the same map, over and over and over again, for the most quick and efficient farming of Grims and Totems, to boost loot, then rushing past bosses to complete the level.
- Overwhelmingly Toxic playerbase.
- No Mod or Workshop support for additional Maps or Campaigns.
- Complete lack of ingame description of core-game mechanics, such as Hero power level and what it influences, statistics, raw numericals (Our health is only described as a visual % bar, but certain items say they restore 2 health or 5 health as a straight number).

3/10. Do not reccomend.

A fantastic game unlike no other. With its stylized, retro graphics and sleek interface, combined with endless hours of procedurally generated content, boss fights, exploration, events and crafting - coupled with the intricacy of crafting, construction and just a little bit of 2D mayhem, you are sure to enjoy Terraria.

With a sprawling mod community and settings that can be tweaked down to the last binary digit, Terraria offers something for everyone, from the hardcore combatant, to the industrious crafter, to the intrepid explorer and to the imaginative builder.
