Edit: Sony decided to backtrack on the decision to force a PSN account, rather than lose a large portion of the player-base. All I can say is that I hope Arrowhead doesn't lose too much out of this. Leaving the actual review for posterity.

I bought this game after watching one of my favourite streamers play it. I ended up reconnecting with friends on steam I hadn't played with in nearly 10 years.

All of this matters not in the face of what SONY has done. I've always been an avid Sony enjoyer, since the days of the PS1, but this is ridiculous. Not only was the PSN account requirement not actively portrayed from day one, the change making it so that people who cannot get a PSN account becoming unable to play a game they have paid for is scummy beyond belief.

(EDIT: The way they changed this was to make it so that in places where you can't get a PSN account, you simply cannot buy the game anymore. Still scummy, can't really recommend it unless you already have a friend group that plays or wants to play)

This game was so damn fun to play, especially with friends, but until they change this, I cannot recommend this game for anyone.

Oh boy where do I begin. The premise is rather unique, but also simple. You are a monster. You've been captured. Escape!

Your character upgrades itself as the game continues on, so even though you begin small and rather weak, you become a monstrous behemoth in the end game. Not that this means you are almost unkillable, you can still die rather quickly, but your offensive options are staggering by the end of the game.

While the game is rather short, as can be seen by the 3 hours I have played, I haven't found all the secrets even though I got to the end.

This game is a metroidvania, despite it's unique concept and control scheme, and anybody who likes that style of game should find this rather enjoyable.
