Early Access Review
this game managed to scratch that stardew itch for me and is super charming! i love rhythm games so i find the cooking minigames super fun, however if you don't enjoy those sorts of things (hitting a key at the right time) then this game may not be for you.

what distinguishes this game from stardew:
-the setting has cyberpunk-esque themes (mostly where your character comes from) and there are androids. you can set your character species to an android if you so desire.
-restaurant management (duh). i think it's done super well and isn't too overwhelming. plus you don't HAVE to operate your restaurant every day
-unlike stardew, you can select your own birthday and which season you start in. you can also save at any time if you choose
-there are a bunch of randomly generated npcs mixed in with the townsfolk to make the town feel more alive. they also have some funny lines

what i'd like to see:
-more character interactions -- i'm only 12hrs in but i'm getting literally the same line over and over again from the boba lady after becoming close friends with her
-more seasonal specialties. so far i've only played spring and summer, and the difference was barely noticeable. maybe something like stardew's seasonal forageables? or even products only sold by vendors during specific seasons.
-more ability to decorate outside around your restaurant (although since i haven't gotten too far i'm unsure if this is a feature or not)
-make watering plants feel less clunky.
-maybe a different character sprite when you get knocked out instead of rotating the sprite 90 degrees -- it looks kinda goofy and my character will keep walking while flipped 90 degrees
-more android characters. androids are cool.

this game has repetitive tasks, but a lot of variety in which tasks you can do. if you like stardew valley and/or fantasy life, you will probably like this game. however, as stated before, if you despise any form of rhythm game, then you will not enjoy the core gameplay aspect of running your restaurant.

though i've barely scratched the surface, this game clearly has a lot to offer.
it takes the general gameplay loop of stardew valley and switches up the setting & means of getting resources. there are other additional aspects such as being aware of how much electrical energy you're using with machines. you can tell the devs were heavily inspired by stardew, but not to the point where it's just a stardew reskin. the devs are also very responsive to the community. if you love cozy games and scifi, this game is for you. or, if you want something like stardew that strays away from many cliche farming sim aspects, this game is also for you.

this is my general pros and cons list:

PROS:
- good writing & unique setting
- charming artstyle. i have a hard time playing a game if the art is unappealing, but LKG does a great job at combining simplicity with cuteness.
- amazing soundtrack. i found myself vibing in the general store and not wanting to leave.
- many things to do (akin to stardew. mining, decor, cleaning up your area, npc stuff, collecting stuff around the map, etc)
- customization & decoration (i haven't gotten a chance to decorate properly yet, but i saw a ton of really cute looking furniture you can either buy or craft!! it fits the scifi cute aesthetic too)

CONS:
- kinda challenging combat (at least in the first few hours, i haven't upgraded anything yet but you die quickly)
- attacking enemies and accidentally hitting a blank tile takes up your energy
- while the writing is good, the main NPCs you start with on the ship feel a little mehh. i feel some could have more unique appearances, but that might just be me.
- not many hairstyles to choose from (idk if you unlock more later but i couldn't really make my character look like me)
- the music is super good but i feel like it gets repetitive sometimes. i feel like there should be at least a few more tracks that play while wandering the general area of the ship.

SUGGESTIONS:
- i'd like a setting to enable a "show tool hit location" so i'm not constantly digging at the wrong tile and depleting my energy.
- more character customization options, and if you can't change your appearance later in the game (i don't know yet), maybe a way to do that too!
- ability to throw items out of your inventory instead of having to recycle them. i've had a time where i was mining and had a bunch of really good stuff in my inventory, but was almost out of energy. there was an edible item i had dug up, but to get it in my inventory i had to recycle something occupying a slot in my inventory.
- platonic partners (like krobus from stardew, just roomies.)
